Ya but games that are supposed to be about you recruiting a team of randomly assorted badasses should really not have so much of a problem with this. Bioware is supposed to be at the top of their game with all this sort of stuff, they kinda failed here.kraidy1117 wrote...

there should have been wayyy more dialogue... i know voice acting is expensive, but the world feels kind of lonely when even your virtual friends don't want to talk.
All games suffer this.
If you could change one thing about ME 2...

True, but I noticed it a bit more in ME2 because as soon as the characters suck you into the story, the game breaks immersion by having them brush you off. That kinda miffed me.

But didn't ME1 characters do this as well? You could have an enjoyable conversation one minute, then the next they're telling you to get lost. ME2 is different in that their is much less control over when you can access dialogue options. ME1 had a different one open up every time you completed an assignment from the Council. ME2 I felt like I could have 2-3 conversations back to back, hence using them up more quickly.

and bring back ME sidequest tjhat sucked more? No thank you, I rather have unique side quest.
Ah yes you are soooo right. It's so much more unique to go in guns blazing shoot a few things plug a battery into a robots bum then push a button and leave with no dialogue at all. I sure am glad they did that! Thank god they got rid of missions like Major Kyle, the crazy Exo-Geni scientists, the creepy lost freighter, Tombs plus all those others. Just to save us the generic environments and driving the MAKO....oh wait they could have kept that kind of mission without the generic environments.....hmmmm

Really? Don't you think they would have if they could have?
EDIT: And yes, I'd rather take unique missions over unique dialogue. Sidequests should be either a gameplay diversion or a story diversion. ME 2 has both. ME 1 had more on the story diversion, but little on the gameplay diversion.

You mean take more time and produce the game properly instead of rushing it out like EA told them too? Or maybe not be lazy? I don't get what you mean...

I think you missed my point.
If the first game had more "Story" to the side missions, and the second game is supposed to be an improvement:
Then what was stopping them from making the side missions more interesting story wise?

ME 2 already has more dialogue. It is unecessary to add additional costs onto the game development by using Voice Actors when you can supplement costs by adding more gameplay which allows the game some flexibility.

It's orange/red not pink. It's Alliance armour not Phoenix. The fire makes it look pink.

I know, I know. I'm just quoting what a lot of the community is doing. I knew it wasn't pink the first time i saw it (Ashley, Kaiden, and Liara all have the same armor on the SR1)

When this was coming out and the developers were telling their lies to the press they said the sidequests would be worth doing. They'll totally relate back to the main quest, you'll want to do them. Well I did my first time round, what a big fat waste of effing time that was. Button pushing and Beacon flash back is not story related. They were short on time, not talent and vocal cords or costs. It makes the main game very short now...just save them so Legion will talk to you.
