If you can, watch the Directors Cut.  I think it's much better.  A lot of subtle changes that makes everything much more effective imo.

Thanks for the suggestions, I should have started this thread months ago. Now i dont have to watch Orgazmo, thank you! Keep giving out ideas. I have seen the Thing, the Abyss, and sadly 2012.

edit: im thinking about Gattaca too, looks good.

What about Dark City? I got a few people to raise praise for that film.
