Not a bad percentage actually compared to what I've seen before. Still considering some of the comments in this thread you''d think this sort of sentiment didn't exist at all among all of us "fair and balanced" gamers.

Sounds more like YouTube commentary, to be honest. I haven't seen anyone this blatantly racist on the Bioware forums.

Ah yeah ok. To be honest, I'm pretty grateful it's not like that here. If we had to spend our time outing racists then we wouldn't have time to enjoy the good stuff: Jacob's memes!

The point is racism is an inherently individual determination by the self (we could argue group dynamics and things such as the N.a.z.i's, but for the moment consider them outliers [self-preservation, or preservation of own direct kin, overrides all other instincts majority of the time). You cant begin with the assumption that everyone a racist, thats just dim.

Also out of the 10s of millions of copies sold, the internet can possibly provide 1,000's of the reactions, but the idea that this view is majority = loler skates

Well I really like Jacob and although i think he's underrated as a squad member is still wish bioware gave him more unique abilities. Hopefully they'll improve on that in ME: 3

I didn't really hate him nor like him, he felt pretty asslickerish type, his loyalty mission was interesting, but I'd take Kaidan any day over him.

I like him but he's quickly replaced by more interesting characters.. that's all.

I just wish they focused more on his back story. It would've been good if he's loyalty mission gave some insight to his character and wasn't just about his dad.. we didn't learn anything about him so it felt quite pointless by the end of it.

Too be quite honest i don't see why people seem to dislike him more as a character than how much he absolutely sucks in combat. A crappy combination of a pistol and shotgun. Only one lousy biotic power. The only thing he has that's half decent is his inferno ammo but you can get Inferno Ammo and Warp ammo from Grunt and Jack who are way more useful in combat. Seriously he's the least effective squad mate hands down. No wonder why Miranda dumped him.

I only romanced Jacob because I wanted to play out the whole ~*black love*~ in space angle. In reality I found him to be a bit of a self centered ass. I missed my sensitive Alenko tbqh s when I played it again I skipped right over the Jacob love mission. However, his mission was pretty... welll good is not the word. Affecting and disturbing definitely.
