If you plan to micro manage your party and not let them go off on their own often, it's a waste of points.

thank you sooooo much. that is all I wanted to know.Servant of Nature wrote...
The more points you spend in combat tactics, the more scripts you can use for your party members, thus you can make more complex series of actions.

You can use it from the start, and you get script slots as you level up. Combat Tactics just gives you extras.Teron wrote...
I find it weird that I should use character development points for a tool that make the AI "smarter". That is one move I do not get at all. Why can´t I use all AI options from the start but rather have to manage everyone by hand and later on when I am familiar with the game need to supervise them less? Does not make sense, it should be the other way around. First don't bother until you get the hang of it and then start to micromanage. IMHO :-)

If you wanna think about it from a in-game perspective, consider them like tactician points, the better tactician you are the more likely your comrades wil follow your tactics...i guessTeron wrote...

I think it's stupid too, actually. I don't care about any in-game explanation, as this is, to me, simply a quality of life issue. It's like having to repair equipment . Sure, it may make sense in-game, but it just makes playing less fun.Teron wrote...

Doing otherwise would be like complaining that the bow skills are useless for your melee-only playthrough.

Arttis, from what I've seen from the in-gameplay, you will be VERY hard pressed to survive one battle alone, let alone an entire game solo.Arttis wrote...
i can just imagine how useless this will be for my solo play.
I love that this game will be challenging...too many games out there are too friggin easy! *cough* I'm prolly gonna eat my words for this, since I've played some incredibly frustratingly hard games in my career.

I don't see why you should have an opinion on the issue, since you'll be playing in puppet mode regardless...?Sylvius the Mad wrote...
Things that make sense always make the game less fun... when they're missing.
I also think it would make sense if we had to eat and drink several times a day. Oh, and take our armor off when we rest, and perform certain biological functions. That would make sense, so obviously it would make the game more fun, too.

That plus it'll probably be overwhelmingly difficult even on the easiest challenge setting.

I'm willing to treat some of those as abstractions, as long as the game doesn't explicitly contradict those abstractions.I also think it would make sense if we had to eat and drink several times a day. This is why I'm fine with not eating, but I dislike uneven death mechanics.
