The combat/tactics system rocks!! Once I got the hang of it after reading all the info on this forum, it completely brought my game to life and now I'm lovin it even more:)

can't I just, you know, write a f***ing program for it? why do I have to go though those damed lists?
however I don't have to deal with syntax errors... or accidental infinite loops.
and where is all this info on the forum that there is supposed to be, I've never seen it.

Just search tactics and loads of people have written tips on how best to use it. There's also a group been set up just for combat tactics too.

I think it does reduce game enjoyment, and whats the point of spendiing and hour adjusting tactics to heal you and etc and you never receive healing from the char, and I did set it right. And could we have more option in here the tactics screen, ugh.

I agree with your frustration. On the one hand, I don't like that I have to tradeoff points that I could spend on class skills for something that lets me control how my AI players function. On the other hand, they could just not let you do that and then I'd complain about that. I see there's a mod that gives you 25 tactics slots. I think I might try that on my second play through.
What do other people think? Is Combat Tactics an interesting game mechanic and you like having to think about the tradeoff? Or would having 25 tactics slots just let you play the game the way you should have to begin with?
