For me, I think it was.  I think the last couple times I got this giddy over waiting for a follow up game was 1, KOTOR 2, and 2nd, Resident Evil 2, back in 1998.  Given that RE 1 had terrified me, waiting for round 2 was sheer torture.

I was looking forward to it, but I wasn't all excited about it.

I sure am for ME3 now, tho. Too bad that will take some time till it comes out.

Yes Mass effect has become a Starwars for many gamers and we all can't wait for Me3 we can only hope we see it before the next gen hop.

You will don't worry. Even before ME1 was released Bioware said all the trilogy will be for this generation.

YES. I couldn't stand it, I anticipated this game so much.

It was at least a week after I got it before the infatuation and the excitement passed and I was able to judge the game with a clear perspective.

Mass Effect 2 probably was so for me, along with KotOR II.

Yes, shame it kinda died when ******** posted spoilers a week or 2 early, that ruined it for me.

Most anticipated was fable 2, I played fable tlc and loved it, missed all the hype, so I listened to everything PM said, I was dissapointed. I have low expectations for fable 3, so I may be suprised this time.

Even low expectations is to high for Fable 3, just go into it knowing 90% of what PM says is a complete load of horse **** and try to enjoy the game for what it has.

I know nothing so far, only your king and the health system changes, I expect fable 2... just as king, cant set the bar much lower, Fable tlc was good, but it probobally wont be able to  hold a candle to that game.

It was until I played it the first time. Then I wasn't sure I liked it, until I played more. Now I'm hooked :P

Not really. I wasn't sure about it (ME1 didn't impress me TOO much).

ME2 really, really, REALLY impressed me. It vaulted the ME series up to my Top 10 Game Series of All Time, somewhere behind TES and Monkey Island.

Pretty much, although Dead Rising 2 is a close second.  What can I say, I love zombie killing. :D

Was definitely looking forward to ME2, but my greatest anticipation was for the release of Ultima IX. Hopes that all that was wrong with its predecessor would be addressed and the series could return to glory, only to discover there would be no celebration. Just the ash remains of where the once great series used to be.

Eagerly anticipated the release of System Shock 2 as well, but I don't know why. System Shock scared the **** out of me. So did its sequel.

I had never been so excited about a game before.

But somehow I'm not That curious about ME3

Not so sure if it really can come up to my expectations after the awesomeness that ME1 and 2 were. People are expecting a LOT from the third part, including me. Afraid to get disappointed, I guess :'

hmm, my most-anticipated game was probably metal gear solid 2. shame that kojima decided to make me play as an androgynous, whining little **** instead of the awesomeness that was metal gear 1 snake. mass effect 2 was up there, though, and was one of the few games not to disappoint.
