-GothamLord, thanks for your proposed back story for Kelly Chambers. I can see how you are deftly pulling pieces of various stories together, attempting to create a seamless one.

Will your story include the current timeline (ME2) or will it describe her story leading up to her first meeting with Shepard? Again thank you for your hard work.

Gotham, I like your piece, though, as Silverite noted the language is indeed a bit dry, but it's may be just me (I like using al these fancy figures of speech ). Overall I really start seeing the parallel (even unintentional) between Leliana and Kelly (well, at least Gotham's version ) : both seem to be very sweet and adorable redhead lasses with this scent of innocence floating around them, but when you start digging and learn more about them you realise that still waters run deep...  And here the real fun begins!

This is a world of instant gratification.  I flip a switch in my kitchen and my lights turn on.  But when I hit the refresh button in this thread there is no leather bound 300 page novel on the loveable redhead Kelly Chambers for me to read. I would spare you the trouble and write one myself, but people have shown little interest in my theory detailing her love of can corn.

If my comments are too subtle, I look forward to reading your completed work.

You have a good mind for it and an excellent subject.

-Yana it is a shame your Kelly image has now been removed. Kelly’s uniform pose is so…fitting.

Can anyone think of anything else Kelly can do? I hope in the future Bioware , gives Kelly a slightly bigger role. As I said before, I hope if Kelly does get more. I hope it isn't as limited to her saying "You have new messages" and a romance in a romance DLC. I hope Kelly does something more, but what can it be? I'll be very disappointed if she has the same role as she did in Mass Effect 2 in Mass Effect 3.

Once this trilogy ends, chances are we will never see her again, or we might see her in a spin off as a small cameo.

As I fully support Kelly as a spy, a chance to use her for espionage in levels as a NPC would be nice. Perhaps relaying directions or information on targets as you move through levels.

Personally I think it ME3 would consists of characters in ME1-2 rather than a set of new characters, I mean...introducing in new characters at the end of a story does not feel right, probably Kelly would be back for more then a cameo appearance.

Kelly will be Shepard's personal cute spy feeding him with Cerberus and Alliance information! I can totally see her meeting with Shepard in defferent places (Citadel, Omega, Noveria, rendom colonized world) after every major quest and providing him/her with necessary info to move further.

That might be the case but it would suck if that is her sole purpose and it feels kinda repetative, in fact I do not much like ME2s idea of a "standard recruitment mission+loyalty mission" for a character, makes things feel abit "stiff" if you know what I'm saying. Not that I'm complaining if your idea does happens to come true, but I do not like routine.

I agree that these types of meetings with Kelly might get repetitive, but imagine after one mission your Shepard came to, say Omega, meet her and discovered she was taken hostage or something, here goes a mission to save your love interest! But I really want to see Kelly's loyality mission. May be, if she is TIM's niece or daughter, she has to confront him and choose either Shepard or Cerberus... But of course we all knoe how it all ends. :-D

Personally I'd want Kelly's mission to be something seriously epic and universe altering with the choices. One idea I had would focus something like this: 

Kelly's Mission in ME3 - Assault on Station 51 "Cerberus Headquarters"  / Final Face Off with TIM.

Big Reveal of Kelly's family ties to the Organization 

Can end up several ways based on dialogue options -

1) Shepard willingly serving under TIM as his right hand. (With or without Kelly as L.I. based on reaction to the reveal) 

2) TIM dead by Kelly or Shepard's hand letting the organization collapse on itself without a leader now (With or without Kelly as L.I. based on reaction to the reveal) 

3) With TIM dead , Shepard takes over running Cerberus himself (With or without Kelly as L.I. based on reaction to the reveal) 

4) With TIM dead, Shepard lets Kelly take over Cerberus keeping the guise of the Illusive Man persona, using the organization resources and trying to turn the organizations goals and methods more positve. (With or without Kelly as L.I. based on reaction to the reveal)

Have you missed the concept that part of that is her cover image ???  Or atleast the way I've been plotting her backhistory.

Oh well, her being a spy is certainly plausible, if she is revealed to be as such in ME3, I would not find it impossible but certainly very surprised, but I guess thats the whole point of being a spy...

How and when do you suppose the fact that Kelly was a spy would reveal itself?

Well my "personal" story ideas aside the most likely and logical is fairly simple. After the suicide mission, and you rescue her. Her loyalty to Shepard (and even more so if shes a L.I.) overrides Cerberus. So in turn she reveals what she was and why TIM planted her. She then uses her skills to help Shepard combat the Reapers however possible. Espeically if ME3 is to include any more missions along the lines of attack Cerberus facilities because TIM has started doing stupid $#!+ with Reaper tech as the new upcoming novel info implies he's going to be doing.
