I'm slightly bored at the moment and as I said I was starting to write up my story here soon. I've knocked out a little bit tonight as I'm getting a feel for how I want to get things started. I plan on starting things Post-Suicide mission, with continued events that will slowly reveal back history through conversaion and actual flashback style chapters. Feedback is appericated as always. I enjoy CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Basic info on Shepard I'm using in this story I'll list. If anyone wants further choice info I can post that as well. Again the story is a work in progress and subject most likely multiple edits.
Stephen Shepard - Male

Mass Effect: Spy GameChapter 1 - Behind Closed Doors
The bridge of the Normandy SR2 lay quiet as the ship drifted slowly along its plotted course on auto-pilot. The helm seat sat empty, as its typical resident had laid below for some much needed sleep. Joker had tried to use the leather bound chair for a recliner, but EDI the ship’s A.I. had been overly insistent that he actually get rest in a more comfortable location. He had argued with her for over twenty minutes before she finally threatened to pipe Salarian show tunes over the bridges comm system until he complied. Along with Joker the rest of the crew lay asleep in their various quarters, Commander Stephen Shepard as well slept soundly in his cabin. The events of the Omega 4 relay were barely a week old and still seemed to have left most of the crew fatigued. There was however one person on the Normandy that was awake. She blew a loose strand of red hair out from in front of her face as she waited on the elevator for it to reach its chosen desination.
“Good evening Miss Chambers…”
EDI’s voice spoke over the speaker at the CIC terminal as Kelly stepped onto the bridge from the lift.
“Good evening EDI. Everyone turned in for the night I take it?”
“Mr. Moreau took some persuading however, he eventually agreed. It would appear he is not a fan of Salarian episodic entertainment.”
Kelly gave a mild yawn as she stretched her arms over her head, the crack that came seemed to give some sense of satisfaction as she moved her attention towards why she was here.
Are you having troubling sleeping? I can unlock the general medications stores. You have access clearance for basic over the counter sleep aids. Kelly smiled lightly, as she moved over to the work station and tapped lightly bringing up the display.
No, thank you though EDI. Just a lot on my mind, I think I’m just going to check a few things and turn in. Would be so kind to activate a diagnostic program for me?
Of course Miss Chambers. What program will you be requiring tonight?
Activate Program -Alpha-Two-Delta-Five-Seven-One-One-Alpha-Four.I am afraid I am unfamil…..EDI’s voice cut off midsentence as the hidden Cerberus coding in her program took over. EDI wouldn’t remember anything of Kelly’s visit to the bridge that night, just like all the previous times before. Joker’s earlier actions when the Collectors had attacked the Normandy had unshackled many of the Cerberus fail safes against her as an A.I. In the end however she was still a program. Keeping tabs on the Normandy required multiple fail safes and this just one of many. It didnt stop her from feeling bad about doing it though either. EDI was self-aware. The fact she could basically flip a switch however still with coding that EDI herself wouldnt even detect unless she dug through layers upon layers of program made it a very difficult position. Sadly her current position onboard and her true purpose made certain decisions beyond her control.
Kelly waited until the main lights flickered out on the bridge and the emergency lights came to life to indicate she had full control and EDI was temporally deactivated. The lift and all other doors into the bridge went into lockdown mode and sensors would advise her if anyone attempted to use them. She tapped on the display again and manually entered the encryption code. Within another minute the terminal chirped for the open communication line. The Illusive Man’s face blurred into view on the screen. He exhaled from a cigarette at his lips before a mild grin hinted at the corner of his mouth.
“Good evening Kelly. How is my favorite niece?”
