I will be interested to see what they do with Kelly in ME3 whether she is revealed to be a super-spy or not. Although I’ve never been able to shake my thoughts as to why a person like Kelly would be mixed up with an organization like Cerberus (in spite of Kelly’s cat/dog allegory).

I've never been a big fan of Kelly's (but I'll keep my reasons why to myself on her fan page out of respect for her admirers), but I think a storyline where she is exposed as a Cerberus spy would be great!

It could be played two ways to make both fans and haters happy;  people who've befriended/romanced Kelly could have confrontation where you have to talk her down from whatever Cerberus has asked her to do, then convince her to stay with you instead.  Think how sweet and dramatic and romantic Bioware could make that scene!

(And for us haters - we could shoot her in the head.  Everyone happy!)

Fair’s fair, I like the choice SleepyBird presents in her post. If you don’t want Kelly Chambers to be a part of your crew you shouldn’t be forced to play alongside her.

What I like is this would allow me to consciously affirm Kelly’s role as part of the crew, a dialog I would be delight to perform.

I wish in ME2 I had the same opportunity to affirm or deny each of the various squad members during their recruitment mission. You are given that opportunity with Grunt and Legion, I wish it was extended to the other squad members as well.

Your point about having an option of shooting someone in the head sounds a little hum drum I have yet to see someone blown out an airlock or fried from a FLT drive charge, although in my narrative of the game I would never pose such a fate on Kelly Chambers (I still need to continue her romance).

Here's a little sick, twisted humor on this subject:

If you decide to kill kelly, you should be given the opportunity to send a message to TIM.

It would read like this:

Dear Illusive Man, I could not stand to be with Shepard and his crew anymore so that is why I chopped myself up, put myself into a garbage bag, and jettisoned myself into space.

Love, Kelly.

TIM: Whoa, did not see that one coming.

/end of bad humor/

All bad jokes aside, choosing if you want to keep or get rid of Kelly is a great idea.

I find Kelly Chamber’s most compelling attribute is her sweet demeanor. I can’t see Bioware introducing a whole new cast of characters in the climatic final installment of Mass Effect; this should instead represent a culmination of all your previous decisions as preparation for final confrontation with the Reapers.

The fact that you can consciously choose to commit your time romancing Kelly creates an expectations that this decision will be vindicated.

I did a playthrough with no LI from ME1 and I didn't pursue any LI's in ME2 in order to have Kelly as (a possible) LI for ME3. It was a paragade run and I chose Morinth over Samara. Apparently if you choose Morinth over Samara and don't romance any squadmates then Morinth overides the Kelly romance for the post Suicide Mission. That sucks.

Why would you say Morinth overrides Kelly?  Picking Morinth shouldn't affect your relationship with Kelly at all.  Kelly notices a change in Samara, but she doesn't understand why.  It doesn't affect her feelings towards you.

That is what I am trying to figure out.... it wouldn't let me have the hidden romance with her post suicide mission.

Lord Zuess,

You always seem to find the good stuff.

That doll has me grinning, soft and sweet just like Kelly.

It has been a nice pick up to a long day.

I don’t expect a wholesale change in crew for ME3. They can all be dead but that is a function of the player’s decisions during ME2 and it is fairly obvious to remedy. If you don’t want Kelly specifically she is not a required part of the crew. The decision the player makes to save Kelly and the rest of the crew should be rewarded in ME3 otherwise that effort and conscious decision is meaningless.

A lot of the excitement that is built into ME3 is the resolution in terms of the overarching story and with the characters we have gotten to know. To throw away what we have already learned about these characters without proper resolution would be met with frustration by the players who have taken an interest in them.

Kelly Chambers has struck the interest of many players and I am sure we will uncover any secrets she may have hidden in ME3.

It would cool after the invasion of the SR2, Kelly desided to get some basic fire arms training and some inplants for biotics. Therefore learned to handle a pistiol and be a party member.

Kelly should become best freinds with your LI. In my instance, Jack.

I just think it'd be kinda cool if they grew close, or something. Like friends though, not fighting over Shepard or anything silly and immature like that.

It would be nice if Kelly commented on the relationship that you currently have (similar to Kasumi which I thought was done very well).

Kelly doesn’t appear to be the angry type, so I wouldn’t expect her to fight over Shepard; although it would be interesting to find her in a situation where she does erupt, since she plays herself so coolly in front of Shepard.
On a side note: when are we going to get the romance package where we get to play out that dinner with Kelly. Each time I replay that scene I feel cheated without it.Image IPB

It sucks that you can't get the full romance with Kelly if you romanced someone in ME 1 and didn't do any other romances. She's certainly the best looking human.

By the way, does anyone have a Kelly userbar I could use?

I can’t begrudge the alluring dance that Kelly performs for Shepard. It can only occur if you build up a romantic relationship with Kelly, Shepard can’t be in any other relationships at that time, and it is in done privately, solely for benefit of the commander. I find the episode intimate, not garish.
