Hi, I think this is the right place to post this.

I wouldn't know where to start regarding making my own custom tattoo. So I wonder if anyone here could help?

Basically, I thought it'd be a cool idea to add a beauty spot to some of my characters, a mole around the upper lip or cheek.
I suppose a tattoo mask is the only way to do that? So would some kind soul like to take up the challenge? I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in using such a mod.

And would it be possible to make it compatible with both toolset and the cc?

Thank you! :wizard:

It's not really complicated, you can probably do it all yourself Posted Image

Check this thread: http://social.biowar...8/index/2213035 and you can see the layout of texture used for character face. The tattoo masks use the same layout.

Each tattoo texture is really collection of 4 separate patterns which can be enabled individually in the Toolset and mixed together with the sliders. The patterns are stored in the channels of your image -- the first patter uses Red channel, the 2nd uses Green channel, 3rd uses Blue channel and 4th uses alpha channel.

So the most simple way to make your beauty spot tattoo would be to paint red dot on otherwise black picture, where you want the spot to appear on the character's face. Then save this file with a name: uh_tat_whatever_0t in either .dds or .tga format (although better in *.dds format, not sure how the game proper handles *.tga files)  The "whatever" part of the name can be indeed whatever you feel like, regular game uses combination of 3 chars here: say, ed1 which probably means "elf, dalish, set 1".

If you wanted to get fancy, you could use other tattoo channels for more spot variations -- you'd paint your second spot with green colour, the 3rd with blue colour and finally 4th one in the alpha channel. Then save it in the same manner.
