Ser Gilmore

Gilmore makes me cry though. That final line filled with such hopeless despair. He is a man who knows his life is measured in minutes at that point. I wonder when they just killed Mallol and Gilmore and how long they tortured them? I know Howe did it to find out who survived. At the point the PC is in Denerim though Howe knows. I wonder if thats when he told them to just kill them?

Yeah, I actually hadn't given it much thought beyond that.. but I always wondered why there wasn't a body. Even Alders' and Nan's corpses are on the ground. Kinda sad to hear how it turns out... Damn, Howe is nasty.sylvanaerie wrote...
I always go through every inch of the castle during the battle and if you go to the chapel Mother Mallol isn't there and Mom Cousland says something about "Howe wouldn't dare commit such a sacrilege" and that she hopes Mallol escaped.
Hah, I can't believe I'm actually bumed now about Mallol! XD
Well, considering you meet Lohgain in Ostagar and then some of his men leftover in Lothering I'd think Howe would have known lomg before the Landsmeet.Gilmore makes me cry though. Loghain probably assumed you died at Ostagar along with everyone else until Howe corrects him and we don't know how long it was between Howe's betrayal and Loghain thinking to inform him that a Cousland was still alive and wanted his head. Or maybe he didn't think Orlesians cared about things like that?Well, considering you meet Lohgain in Ostagar and then some of his men leftover in Lothering I'd think Howe would have known lomg before the Landsmeet.

Well we definitely know Howe is aware of the PC after you finish Redcliffe, since he sends Zevran after you. So if that was all he was after, they would have been dead for months... though I can't imagine their bodies just being left there to rotsylvanaerie wrote...

The fact that he sleeps next to the torture chambers might be a hint.

lol Yeah, I would say so. It wouldn't be where I would want my bedroom that's for sure. Thank God his son in Awakening is nothing like him. At least I hope not. I don't want my good friend Nathaniel to betray me in the future the way Bryce's *good* friend betrayed him and slaughtered his entire House. (shudder) But, hey, it would be a new (or old, depending how you look at it) story to tell.

Hey, he could just be misunderstood. I'd like to sit down and discuss our differences with him over tea.

Clearly Riordan didn't invest in tier 4 coercion. What a noob.Sarah1281 wrote...

The ending is nice (thank you again, Immortality). I'm a sucker for happy endings. (Am I allowed to tell one of the endings? There is more than one ending to this mod.) I would say more, but, not sure if the creator of the mod prefer my silence for a while longer. Haha!

The dialogues are very good and nicely spread out thru the entire game, so you never run out of stuff to talk about like you do when romancing Alistair. Very good mod!

How true. His final line in the noble origin also killed me inside, he he he. I wanted to go back to him. Man, I hate Duncan! :-)
About Gilmore's dead body on the torture rack in Fort Drakon: Yes, it is him, definitely. I have no doubt about it. However, I do shamelesly overlook this "detail" in my mod (because, obviously, he's alive and in your party X-D).
I had many ideas on what would happen at that point when Rory faces his own corpse. Sadly, because of technical issues I had to cut it short. He will make a mention if the PC chooses him to go to their rescue. When Rory gets to the cell door he will say something like "Just look at the torture racks down there! To think one of those poor souls could have been me!" Oh, the sheer irony! ;-)

heheh that would be awesome ! I loved the idea of your mod. Leaving Ser Gilmore hurt almost as much as leaving Bryce and Eleanor, maybe even more so because his death is even more immediate than theirs (or so it seems). At the time I tried to download it I didn't understand much about computers and now I have a mod I want more on it which fixes considerable weird dialogs in the game and includes some new scenes with Alistair

LOL thats SO awesome. I want tthis mod SO badly. But I like the mod I have too much (Fixes a lot of issues with the game and includes some really romantic scenes with Alistair). Maybe I will remove it for one of my HN Playthroughs so i can have Ser Gilmore.
