Firstly, Im new to this type of game so questions may seem noobish ... but Im lovin it!
Ok, so I rolled a mage and am about to start the redcliff fight. Reading in other posts I see that some use Morrigan as a healer but the Morrigan I got doesnt have any healing spells. She seems specced for crowd control and damage so what Ive been doing is using the tactics menu to have my main mage do the healing then playing as Morrigan controlling the mobs and doing damage while alistair tanks and lelianna ranges/melee's.
Seems to work ok so far but what Im wondering is there any disadvantage/penalty for not playing as the charater I created or is it ok to play as any of the party members?
Another question, I must have been in a bad mood but I ended up killing Dwynne (sp?) and his thugs in redcliff, sort of by mistake. Was this bad? Am I going to need his help for the redcliff fight? Should I go back to an earlier save and just pay him the silver?
Cheers
Is this a viable strat

Pretty much anything will work, in the end. That party make up will be able to handle anything that comes it's way, though. As for Dwyn, he's not 100% vital, but I know that if you manage to make it through the fight without anyone dying, then you get a bonus reward. I don't know if not having Dwyn there would influence that reward (even if no one dies), however.
