Is there any way to prevent a secret room showing up on the minimap?
I've defined two rooms as mutually visible and connected in the level, with a doorway between them.
The corresponding area has a placeable with the appearance "Doorway, Bricked" in the doorway, which acts like a secret door.
However, the secret room becomes visible on the minimap when the player approaches it, before the secret door is opened.

maybe it works if you place black box models high enough above this room.

Doesn't the minimap use the map?
Open the map.dds and crop out the room with photoshop or something.

Thanks, guys. Perhaps editing the map is the only option. I was wondering if there was a way to hide the secret room on the map until the secret door opens?

I've been looking for a similar function. The only map-related function I can see is RevealCurrentMap.
The only thing I could imagine would be a trigger signaling that trigger/waypoint was discovered (and remove some of the fog around it). I'm not sure if that exists though.

I remember in awakening if your in the crypt it wont show the rest of the map in the minimap until you open the door. So maybe there is a script that does it.
