Also to the poster saying that women can do anything men can do just as well, that is a pretty retarded thing to say. Hey im as much of a feminist as the next guy but men are simply physically superior to women. Of course exceptions exist, a female bodybuilder is stronger then a man whos never lifted weights in his life for example.



With that said I do not personally think female PCs should be physically weaker than male PCs in game mechanics. Also the argument that women should be using sex appeal instead of physical strength is kinda sexist^^

Female Shepard never comes across as particularly intimidating. Every custom face I've seen of her looks like a punching bag and when was the last time anyone feared a punching bag? Her body is not athletic at all. She basically resembles your average 30 something soccer mom.

I guess it is about perception. Perhaps a Pyjak would perceive a female Shepard as intimidating but not a Turian, Batarian, or Krogan. That just doesn't make any sense. They'd laugh at her if she tried to be tough.

You guys are free to dissagree, I don't mind constructive discourse but please do not spam my thread with GIFs and textless image replies.
I'm going to get lunch.

Besides, since the point of this was female Shepard, given the enhancements from Cerberus bringing Shep back form the dead, looking at the augmentation Soldier's get; FemShep should naturally be just as strong as the average man (if not stronger).



If you look at the "x-ray" image, there's a plate installed on the PC's sternum, and the majority of muscles light up, there are also "plates" installed between shoulder muscles. If the upgrades in the game are to be believed, the PC's muscles, bones and skin also become stronger and tougher. "Super soldier" so Femshep is still very strong.



Besides, stout women can be scary. *points at any 'verse containing dwarves*



Nevermind that I picture Femshep being tall and a little more muscular than the average woman...but that's just personal perception.

Even if Shepard has been augmented to be significantly stronger(which is something that cannot be determined one way or another) the fact is she still looks like a regular, kinda pudgy woman. Sure she's armed but so are many of the people she engages in dialogue with. There is no reason why men would find her intimidating.

As for that picture, she looks creepy but not intimidating.

Does anyone else think that Busomjack is just irritated that his views of women aren't reflected in the game when he plays femshep? Nothing really to do with real life women being "lesser" by a summary of his reasons... *whispers* I'm not sure he realises that Bioware isn't a huge group of sexists; they know this would cause more outrage than the mysterious lack of s/s romance...

Sexist views are not lesser.  The majority of the alien species in the game are patriarchal.  That is why we see no female Turian, Krogan, or Salarians.  It's because they're all sheltered making more soldiers for tomorrow's wars.

It's purely hypothetical but if Shepard were to pull a gun to my face I would use my lightning fast reflexes to push the gun aside and then go for her nearest pressure point to disable her.
