Alright, now that things have calmed down a bit here, let me comment on some of the objections which have been brought up.



Let me say that female Shepard may very well be skilled in everything but the fact remains that she is a woman and that that will cause those around her to pre-judge and possibly underestimate her. It's not that I am sexist, it's just that we should expect sexism from people, especially aliens that come from patriarchal societies such as Batarians and Turians.

Female Shepard may be "girl tough" but it's difficult to take a woman head butting a Krogan very seriously. There are just some very prevalent limits to human strength which are more pronounced amongst the female gender, it's simple biology.



Most women realize they're not as physically strong as men and therefore utilize their natural talents of seduction to get their way. It's not as if this isn't already seen in the game. Aria mentions turning Patriarch's men against him with the art of seduction, so why couldn't a female Shepard do the same thing?

I've noticed in troll threads that whenever someone "grabs popcorn" the thread almost immediately settles down and the troll in question dissappears for a long period of time. Popcorn must be an anti-repellant.

*shrug* I kinda like my femshep to be kicking-ass with crazy flexibility and speed (Kasumi style) rather than gunning for seduction or brute force.



Even then, it just cost a butt-ton of resources game development wise, so I leave it up to my imagination, but I still head-butt the krogan anyways just to be a bad-ass.



I'm female, and I don't not look physically strong, but damn I can outrun a lot of guys.

Let me clarify. Shepard is a Genetically Enhanced, Elite Special-Forces Cyborg Soldier. Why didn't you start a thread about how ManShep shouldn't be able to headbutt a Krogan? The only threads you start are about how women are portrayed as TOO able and they should be "taken down a notch".

Shepard is a cyborg but her modifications are not significant enough that she has any major improvements in strength, agility or endurance. Keep in mind that Miranda mentioned the Illusive Man wanting to bring Shepard back exactly how he was. Cybernetics were no doubt kept at a minimum.



The reason why I put an emphasis on women is because it's a well known scientific fact that women are not as physically capable as men. Therefore I don't think it feasible for everyone in the game to find a female Shepard as threatening as a male Shepard.



Sure Shepard is armed, but so are many of her adversaries. That negates the issue.

We're talking about public perception.  The cybernetic augmentations are subtle enough on Shepard that all anyone sees are a few scars.  Even if female Shepard is physically able, most would not be able to tell just looking at her and thus would not find her intimidating.

That involves actual physical action, that is different than the dialogue scenarios which are availble for both of those scenes you mentioned should you choose not to do the quick time event.
In any case, headbutting a Krogan seems far fetched for a male Shepard but especially so for a female Shepard.  Upgrade or not.
