When I try to use my right mouse button it only moves the camera. I cant interract with objects or people so im stuck in the first room. I had to disable the tutorial just to move around a little. ive uninstalled and reinstalled the game quite a few times and searched the internet for answeres. Can someone please help?

... Have you tried going to the control options and restoring the default controls? Also, the right mouse button works as two things. Camera movement and interaction. To move the camera hold right mouse and to interact just click once on the object you want to interact with.
You're saying it moves the camera but one click an object does nothing?

yes i have restoring default controls. One click on objects do nothing except turn the camera. also i cant right click the ground to get my character to move there. it just makes the camera move.

Anyone have any clues? I could really use some help. Its very frustrating to buy a game and not be able to play it.

I think you have to follow the tutorial in the beginning or it'll kind of block your actions until you do.

Also, try closing the tutorial windows at the bottom right of your screen after you read them. They will stack there and I've had interaction issues as long as they were open, I couldn't move or do anything else.

I cant get past the second tutorial advice about right clicking to give my character a command when its paused. The button isnt doing anything except moving the camera. It turns about 45 degrees to the right each time.

Ive tried updating my mouse driver and changing the settings on it. I even bought a new mouse and so far nothing works.

sometimes they're fairly sensitive to the right click... you may need to push the button more softly

OK, let's have some fun then. Go into Options, Controls. Turn the camera movement sensitivity down to 0. Now what happens?

Ok I put camera sensitivity to 0 so now the camera doesnt move anymore but it still wond interract with people or objects. Im in the human castle and cant get past the first doors.

I think I have exactly the same problem. Tried a lot of different things, just like you. (Other mouse, re-installing, etc) I've been playing for two days with the left and right button switched. It works (both buttons work then) but, at first, it feels like writing with your left hand when you're right-handed. I chatted with Bioware/EA twice to find a solution, bt untill now, I'm stuck. Wrote another e-mail this morning.
Strange thing is that it worked fine when I installed it for the first time (had to re-install windows after that.)
I'm even considering re-installing windows again... But first the reply from Bioware/EA.

Same problem here. Windows XP laptop (same issue with both trackpad and mouse). Seems to be a windows issue since this happens in other games too (Heroes of Might & Magic V).
It appears as if any right-click is interpreted as a drag, even if the mouse doesn't move.

Same problem here. Reinstalling doesn't work. Default options doesn't matter. Patch 1.02 doesn't help.
Windows 7 x32bit (brand new install)
Geforce 7600GS (I also tried with dualview/spanning disabled)
USB retractable mouse (yes, i reinstalled it many times)
The only workaround I have found is to switch the left/right clicks in the options. While this lets me move around (with the left button), things that used to use the left button and now use the right button tend to randomly break (Like trying to open a chest).
All buttons work fine in all menus.
help.

What Origins are you people playing that forces you to go through the tutorial? And why not just skip the tutorial?

You can't skip tutorials. unless you mucked around with options BEFORE ever playing the game, you HAVE to do the first tutorial.
Point is, one's rightclick is broken

I spent the last 7 hours backing up everything and reinstalling windows 7. I'm happy to report the problem was not there on a fresh install of windows 7. it is a problem with the mouse driver, not the game. As soon as I install my mouse driver, the clicking issue appears.
Unhappily, my gaming mouse doesn't work with the game and the generic drivers are laggy.
Having said that, I'd just like to say that i've never had this problem on any other game. Considering every other game out there doesn't have a problem, what makes Dragon Age special in that it doesnt work? It's got to be SOMETHING about the game.
So if anyone else has a problem, you can try removing your mouse drivers and using the crappy generic ones. That makes playing all your other games difficult, but at least you can play Dragon Age.

This happens alot for me as well, I don't think it is a bug, I think you are supposed to be able to move the tactical view like this (if you zoom out you'll see the pointer transform) I haven't been able to pinpoint the way to get it to return to interactivty yet but with a lot of clicking/doubleclicking/holding left m-button then clicking etcetcetc I've usually managed to 'fix' it

Same problem as others, mouse works fine for every other game except dragon age, where right click instead to interact with objects turns camera around...
Only way i found to fix it is to switch characters and load games till it starts working, but that's not a solution,we need a fix.

Exact same problem here, I was playing the game this morning and right clicking was working as intended, but as soon as I transitioned from Dalish Camp into the Brecilian Forest I'm getting the right click issues mentioned above.
I tried old saves, I tried clicking around like a crazy man, nothing worked.
Edit: Full reinstall did nothing, and I tried starting a new character but it too was suffering from the same lack right-click issue. I'll try a mouse driver reinstall, see if that fixes it.
Edit 2: Well, after shuting down my computer and leaving it overnight, the problem fixed itself and I can now play the game again. Hopefully it doesn't happen again

I found playing the game in windows mode while also watching a movie on VLC was causing this issue to occur, I guess there was some kind of conflict happening on my video card.
