 What do you think will happen plot wise if you "cheat" on Liara or Ashley/Kaiden.

I think depending on different combinations of characters there would be different scenarios.

They'll probably have a lot of those scenarios to work out, too. Lot of variables.

And I get the feeling that Liara kind of 'moved on' with the Shepard thing. That kiss wasn't what I expected and I saw it. Liara and Feron, just friends? I don't know why but I liked the ME1 Liara far better.

Perhaps you lose out on a squad member if the old ones are returning



Maybe there is a fight between the two, or maybe it's sort of like a sub-"loyalty" mission to the ME1 characters, in which cheating will end up losing their loyalty with all the repercussions that loyalty held in ME2.

I don't think this is possible.  There are just too many potential conflict combinations for them to take the individual's personality into consideration and make them unique.  There will be a generic scenario for all possible romance conflicts as this is the easiest route.

TBH its not particularly cheating if its Ash/Kaiden, from what I gathered they essentially ended the romance with you and its been 2 years so they've more than likely had other partners as well.

I think It'll only cause trouble if you try to get back together with your ME1 LI whilst still in a relationship with your ME2 LI.



Liara on the other hand is different, 2 years is nothing to her and she knew you weren't dead, so I'd say that cheating on Liara is in fact actual cheating.

Kaiden as usual will complain, Ash as usual will be a ****, and racist if you cheated on her with an alien (Tali), Liara wont metter, because obviously some guy she met means more to her than Shepard, as far as im concearned I wouldnt care if they die in ME3, all seem to forget me/attack me pretty quick, obviously showed how much they cared.

Just hope there won't be any fights. It would make no sense if for example Jack and Liara got into a fight when it's clearly all Shepard's fault.

I hope they're mild. First game kind of forces you into a romance unless you chat up Ash/Kaida and Virmire them or don't talk to them or Liara at all.

The consequences of cheating on Ashley likely involve rifles and clock towers.

My guess it will probably be like Ash/Kaiden vs. Liara conflict from the first game. They'll both come to you, and ask who you want to be with. You choose one and the other gets pissy, and then its back to normal.

My guess is that the story will play out as a choice. You will have to choose between your LI's in the form of a life or death situation. All ME1 characters (if alive and a LI, unless it is Liara, she gets in no matter what) will be woven within a mission that could potential kill them off. If a LI, more options that would include new LI (if you did that), or some other choice in regards to the end-game.

Maybe you'll go to get them back on your team and they'll see you're with whoever now without properly breaking up with them even though you were in coma and dead and MIA for 2 years and they went on a date and tried to "move on" and they'll tell you to get stuffed again and won't come with you to help! *gasp*

There'll probably be a confrontation, and you'll have to choose. I think the three most likely scenarios are:

• You choose. There's a lot of angry dialog, and nothing else really happens. The person you don't choose doesn't open up any further dialog.
• You choose. The person you don't pick, leaves your crew/doesn't join.
• You choose. The person you don't pick stays on the crew, but doesn't get the equivalent of being "loyal" like in ME2 (assuming such a mechanic exists in ME3, which I actually doubt)

I really don't think there'll be any severe consequences though. ME2 had twice as many LIs as ME1, and it's safe to say that most people who imported a save, imported one with a romanced character. Basically, it's almost like Bioware intended and wanted for the players to "cheat"

Funny you should mention that.

It also seems like Bio wanted you to join Cerberus at the end and deliver the Collector base to TIM. Maybe the whole theme of ME2 is temptations and seeing how you can handle those.

Just thinking out loud here.

I'm curious to know what happens in ME3 if I romanced Jack and Tali.

But in ME1 I tried to persue both relationships. In the cutscene Liara comes up but in ME2 both are nice to me. It seems that I pursued both.
On another note the paragon renagade glitch - Paragon overode the renegade coz in my import saves it said I was a paragon.
