Personally I'd hate conflict. I'd like to think everyone is mature, grown professionals and the Normandy isn't high school. But I am pretty sure that *is* what is going to happen.
I'd prefer that if you had a ME2 LI, your MI1 LI is no longer available as a romance. They just see you with your new dude/dudette, and don't give a frog because it has been 2 years, they have moved on, and assume you have too. However, if you didn't hook up with anyone, them being more aggresive in their pursuit, trying to make up for what they did to you in Horizon, or making up for the Asari planet - seems plausible.
Don't punish a ME1 LI or a player because a player wanted to move on. But don't penalize those who said they'd stick with them. Just don't cheapen it by cheap histrionics and catfights is my hope.
