The game can ****ing force paragon Shep to show LI to ash at one point if you keep talking to her (without talking to liara). She BETTER not try anything on my Shep/Tali in me3, for her sake.

I'm intrigued as to what will happen if you cheated on an ME LI with an ME2 LI but then the ME2 LI died during the suicide mission, wonder if Bioware is going to cover both angles on the whole 'consequences of cheating' issue.

One thing to point out with regards DarthCaine's whiny rant about it not being cheating, several weeks/months past since Ilos, considering that if you had an LI it is them that come to you at the start, I would imagine it is built that a relationship was built on further after that night and so yes you would be cheating on a loved one. Whilst I know they tend to mark it that the whole crew seems to know about LI situations, it sure would be interesting to find out how Ashley/Kaiden/Liara find out seeing as they weren't on the ship. Must be Joker spilling the beans eh?

He also says it in the past tense. My thought when my LI stomped off on Horizon can be summed up as: "Well f**k you too, w**ker" and didn't give them a second though. I didn't end up cheating on them, but I really hope I can just tell them to shove it in ME3. The one time Shepard needs Kaiden/Ashley and they don't even bother listening (after ranting the shock of finding their loved one alive), let alone trusting them.

Nope. Kaiden says the night in Ilos meant everything to him which puzzled the CRAP out of me because my character did not sleep with him.

I think the ME1 LIs are definitely more than just a one night stand.  It all depends on how you see it / play your Shepard though. 

In Kaidan's case he does tell you he loved you on Horizon, which implies some pretty deep feelings on his part, at the very least.  If you kept him alive and he's with you at the start of ME2, then it's not a stretch to say that he and Shepard are probably pretty close, if not sharing the Captain's quarters (if not publicly then it's the worst kept secret) by that time. 

For me, in the playthrough with my adept, I can't see her breaking it off with Kaidan to romance Thane as cheating.  Kaidan very well most likely did love Shepard, but Shepard died.  He worked through his grief.   You can't fault the man for trying to find some normalcy again after what he's been through, not just with Shepard but with Saren, the Reapers, etc.

I see it as a mutual ending of the relationship, with Shepard going her way and Kaidan forging on in his.

I don't think that it's too much to expect virtually unique scenarios. For a Male Shep there's really only two ME1 choices. In ME2 there's only 3 choices that lead to full out cheating.



Ash vs. Tali: Oh I've got to see this one with the whole "alien" thing

Ash vs. Miranda: I'd like to see the Cereberus angle played up

Ash vs. Jack: I'm not sure which angle that would take ... maybe the "crazy" thing

Ash vs. more than 1 LI ... the whole "can't keep it in your pants" thing

In case of Ashley and Kaidan, I really dont see my Sheps new affair as cheating because s/he practically dumps him/her on Horizon. Also dialog options with Kelly and Joker after that give impression that it is over. Of course there is apology email, but even that states that they still moved on, but door is still open if s/he is interested, thats how I understood it. If Ash or Kaidan go apesh** in ME3 over Tali/Jack/Garrus/Thane, my Shep might be confused over the situation, I know I will be.



Liara is completely different story though, dumping her for new one is DEFINETLY cheating and I dont see that ending well...
