You know what would be nice? It's if your company would fix the bugs in 1.03 and Awakenings before coming here and drumming up votes for a popularity contest that no one really cares about. If you can't fix the bugs, at least release an updated version of the DA toolkit so some of us can take a crack at them.
The RtO debacle, 1.03 snafus and the shoddy workmanship of DA:A isn't helping your brand reputation one bit.

I have Dragon Age for PC and PS3, both with the patch. And Awakening for PS3. I haven't had any problems so far. *shrug* Alistair saying he's King when he's not is a bit frustrating but I got more than my moneys worth. I make him King 99% of the time anyway.

How can a game which is broken be GotY? What kind of message would that send? Absolutely not.

Look around. Read the forum. Remove head from sand/up ass (delete as appropriate) and stop being so blindly devoted to and protective of a company that is no longer what it was.
I've been a loyal BioWare customer since BG (the first), bought every single one of their games, expansions included, and have always bought their next game pretty much sight unseen, simply because I had absolute faith in them, based on prior experience. This has now been shattered completely. Not only will I NEVER buy another BioWare game on release, but ONLY when I know for absolute certain that it works properly (i.e. AFTER all the patches are released and known to work), but with the responses (or lack thereof) to the complaints and concerns from their formerly extremely loyal fan-base regarding the issues with DA:O and Awakenings, they seem to be showing a worrying trend that I fear will result in a continuing decrease in the quality of their products.
You can keep singing tra-la-la and pretending everything's fine. I'm out.

Wow - my game doesn't work and my life is over. I feel for you I really do.You can keep singing tra-la-la and pretending everything's fine. I'm out.
But there's nothing wrong with mine, certainly nothing that's gonna keep me awake at night, crying into my pillow yearning for how things once were.
All of you stampy-footed people on here with your misplaced indignity; like it's The Most Important Thing In The World, my heart bleeds for you. No really.
Get over yourself. It's not Bioware's fault anyway. I doubt very much whether they have much of a say in when things get released or in the control of deadlines.
And I repeat, it's not actually "broken" is it, not like the record that keeps being played on here.
Go on then, take a deep breath, put on your intertube warrior tin hat and give me both barrels. Except maybe you won't now, will you?
I couldn't care either way.

I beg to differ. Prior to patch 1.03 I had no crashes, no lag, everything was fine. The game was a viable candidate for goty. Now we have patch 1.03, I get random crashes - occuring literally anywhere - loading screens, combat, severe framerate drops, massive lag at the beginning of cutscenes, the list goes on. I will reiterate - all of it worked flawlessly before 1.03. BW has a new thread in the PC tech support forum gathering info on the issue(s) so yes, it is pretty much confirmed as broken. thus, until said issues are addressed, the game in its current state does not deserve to be considered for goty.

I approve of this message. The fact that modders are cleaning up after Bioware's careless mistakes just to get the game to a decent level is absolutely unacceptable. In example, apparently Bioware couldn't figure out how to import Solder's Peak items correctly. One modder, within the first few days of release, did just that all by himself. I also want more downloadable content, by the way.

See? It's all very sweet really. Because I actually happen to like the games and I haven't found an endless list of things to slag off and I actually did vote for the company because I happen to think it is a good game, regardless of the bugs - which I accept that there are - that makes me a fanboy does it?Oh blah blah blah, what a boring fanboy.
So because I don't agree with the purple-cheeked whingers because my approach to, and experience of, the game is different from theirs, that makes me a fanboy does it?
because I take the opposite side to you?
Yes?
Because I don't agree?
I do entirely accept it has bugs as it happens, but nevertheless - fundamentally - it is an excellent game.
Oh yeah and I actually happen to like the expansion pack as well.
Gosh, go figure.
