FFXIII, even though im not a fan of the series, has awesome graphics, better than anything i have ever seen.
in other news, ME2 is darn good for the space it has to work with

The only reason to play FFXIII is for eye candy. It's a gorgeous world with really well-designed characters, but that's it. That's where the excellence ends.

Pointless/very 1 sided, Seein as how this is a Forum dedicated to ME2 most will say ME2 is better

also its all a matter of opinion no one is right

plus there two completely different genres

might as well ask a FPS gamer what they think about final fantasy

+1. Graphics are the only thing you can objectively compare between mass effect and god of war. Crysis dumps all over both in that regard.

OP, talking about "fanboys in your class arguing about games on systems" reminds me of when I used to argue about sega genesis vs super nintendo. I was in 4th grade. Are you in 4th grade?

I am a fan of the God of War franchise as with the Mass Effect franchise. However, God of War III felt like a GOOD game not an EXCELLENT game.

Mass Effect 2 in my opinion is an Excellent game which has had me playing it since I got it on February 1st. God of War III I got the Ultimate Edition beat it in about 9hrs and haven't touched it since.

However, to say that God of War III doesn't have better graphics then ME2 is just ridiculous. While GoWIII graphics can be a hit and miss (some characters look like they were ripped out of a PS2) Kratos looks phenomenal in the game. The first 45mins of GoWIII are also epic.

The best console game I have seen though so far this generation is Heavy Rain on the PS3. Some of those characters look photo realistic.

Mass Effect 2 did a lot more improvements over the original aside from story. The graphics were revamped and do look excellent. The gameplay was improved greatly and the voice acting is superb.

God of War III had a good story and the gameplay was the same which there is no problem with. Let me put it this way. Here is the order from 1 being the best to the lowest being the worst of the games I have played this year.

Mass Effect 2>Bayonetta>Heavy Rain>God of War III>Bioshock 2>Darksiders>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dante's **** Inferno

And yet you seem to forget Mass effect was a 360 exclusive month's before it came to pc Posted ImagePosted Image

That doesn't matter. When you start playing it on a PC, it instantly becomes a more intelligent game because keyboards have more buttons than console controllers. As a stupid console gamer who only plays on dumbed-down hardware, obviously you can't count far enough to understand this, but it really is just simple math. If they ported God of War 3 to the PC, it would also instantly cease to be a stupid game. You'd understand this if you weren't a stupid console gamer who plays on dumbed-down hardware.

You give PC gamers a bad name.

I should make a thread comparing ME1 to TLJ. I mean, sure, ME1 trumps TLJ in terms of graphics, but they're both incredibly awesome story-driven games, right? I'm sure we can compare gameplay too.

I might be in a small minority here... I've NEVER EVER been impressed by the God of War series. I tried out the demo for GOW 3 and again I wasn't wowed. To me it is the most overrated series on the Playstation. To me the best PS3 games/series out there are:

Uncharted

Heavy Rain

Metal Gear Solid

Killzone

But in case no one understand my stance on ME2 vs GOW3, ME2 is easily the better game. Anyone who thinks otherwise is insane.

However, the OP is right it is a silly comparison.

I think even in basic comparison, God of War 3 does top this game even though they are unalike; ME2 is far to linear in it's current state god of war is linear as well but it is so much more adrenaline pumping then the rather bland missions of ME2.

Shame that graphics is Crysis' only strong point.

NUH UH!
The suit's voice was cool, and killing people with Chickens boosted the replay value like 10,000 percent for me.

Am I the only person who loved that game?

This. So many console fanboys have no idea what they're missing and what I hate the most is the misconception that PC games have worse graphics than consoles and are insanely complicated to play. Or that we have to shell out £300 a year to be able to play the latest games. It really goes to show how technologically illiterate the general population is. No wonder dumbed down consoles sell so easily.

And some of you PC fanboys really have some rather silly ideas about some of us console fanboys. Many of us are in fact not technologically impaired 12-year olds.

I was exclusively a PC gamer from the early 90 (when I went from an Amiga 500 to my first PC) until late 2007 when I bought a 360. Right now I have two gaming setups:

A PS3 hooked up to a 40" HDTV.
A Core 2 Quad PC with 8 GB RAM, a Geforce GTX 260 and a 24" 1920x1200 monitor.

Obviously the PC has the potential for better graphics - and ME2 certainly does look pretty damn good at 1920x1200 with all settings at high and 4xAA, 16xAF, just like many other games impress - but that's not stopping me from still enjoying a whole slew of PS3 games, some of them because they aren't available on PC, others because I just prefer playing them on a larger screen, with a gamepad and my a** parked in a comfortable chair. At the moment Just Cause 2 is such a game where I could have opted for the PC version instead.

And yes, I know all the very valid arguments that a PC can also be connected to a HDTV, allowing living room comfort and in some games even a gamepad if you prefer that input method (which I do in many game genres, including many shooters) - but in my home at least that's just not going to happen without rearranging furniture, running cables across the living room floor, and then spend an annoying amount of time moving hardware around and dis- and reconnecting cables when it's time to use my PC for other things than gaming again.

Or as QuentaSilmarillion didn't quite put it:

Console games = win.
PC games = win.

Both platforms (counting PS3 and 360 as one platform in this case) have their strengths, both platforms have a number of fantastic exclusive or semi-exclusive games.

For someone thats been a PC gamer for so long, too not know of mapping programs is SAD.
.XPadder, Get it if you are into controllers, it emulates a keyboard and mouse allowing you to use any controller*with USB hook up* including PS3 and xbox 360 controllers or any other After market PC controller, With any game no strings attached.

How are the two games even comparable? Their audiences don't even hang out in the same places.

Really now. There isn't anyone on the planet who enjoys both games. Doesn't exist.

Man, I knew this thread would bring out the idiots in spades, but I really hoped it wouldn't be this bad.

... Their core audiences, ignoramus. I didn't say that any given person couldn't like both. There are people who enjoy all sorts of games, obviously, but you wouldn't market the new NCAA Football game to a crowd of Halo fans.

You'd better do a cross-reference on your own logic before you go calling other people idiots, friend.
