I've noticed an issue I have with how Mass Effect renders models that there is a lot of flickering and overlapping on certain models at certain distances... The most annoying place I see this is on my character's hair.

http://i171.photobuc...ox/verygood.jpg (Disclaimer:  This is, in reality, not very good.)

Unfortunately I can't get a better screenshot than that, which doesn't look so bad--but is absolutely nauseating in motion.  The game runs beautifully, but this clipping is kind of getting on my nerves.  I've messed with the settings, but nothing seems to fix it.  Runs the same on min and max settings.  Tragically, ME leaves a bit to be desired in the ways of graphics options...

It almost is as if the game is not running on high enough color bit depth, but I'm not sure.  Anyone else have this issue?

Some specs:

Windows 7 64-bit (6.1, build 7600)
Intel Core i7 930 @ 2.80GHz (8 CPUs)
4096 MB RAM
DirectX 11
NVidia GeForce GTX 260 (2664 MB)

EDIT: Actually, after playing more, this happens with a lot of model edges where things "overlap," common on weapons and armor...

This is a well known bug with Vista and 7 64 bit OSes, and unfortunately I doubt we'll ever see a fix for it. All you can do is use one of the other hair models (they don't have that problem as bad) and live with the problem, or downgrade to XP. :/

edit:  By the way, I had this problem with both an 8800 GT and my current ATI 5850 HD, so it's not a driver problem (well, it could still be, but very unlikely that both chipsets have the exact same bug).  Most likely it's just a bug between ME1 and Windows 7/Vista 64.
