I just recently beat Dragon Age Awakening as Human Noble Female (Married to Alistair, did the twisted dark ritual agreement, so both Alistair and my Warden wouldn't die) and the ending was sort of a surprise and disappointing ending to me. Probable one thing I forgot, THIS game is a dark fantasy. So maybe there is no such thing as sweet endings in some point when comes to this game.

My ending was sort of not what I call happy with and its maybe the 1st and 2nd time I beat it. With slight alternate of letting the Artictect live at 1st and than kill him for the 2nd time. I didn't see any better option result with it though. You either let him live which the darkspawn seem to disapear for a long period of time but with another blight possiability in the future or you kill him and than the darkspawn are still rampaging about and end up having to fight them still over the Old Gods situation.

There some other things though I can't say I have completed fully yet. I just have hard time to grasp it I suppose about the choices you thought that were good, sometimes end up being not so good later on.

- I didn't finish with top approvals with all my companions, probable my fault by not going through the story straight.
- I didn't finish all the quests, but finished the more important ones to rebuild Vigil's Keep 'quota'. However when I tried to finish the rest of my quests, such as Velanna's joining.. which I never got to do it, since I was forced to decide the fate of how the war should be from Vigil's Keep / Throne Room.
- I also didn't finish our old friend Oghren's Companion Quest.. I didn't even get close of 60 on his approval. So I never finished his personal quest, everyone else's personal quest I have finished except his.. so his ending seems a bit distastful at my version. However it seems to lead bitter either way..? Knowing Oghren, he seems a drunken dwarf all the way who loves to kill darkspawn with his big axe.
-The only person who I really lost in the end was Justice, since he was behead in the battle of Vigil's Keep but my warden wasn't there at all. She was busy saving Amaranthine.

What also bugs me at the moment, is that it appears your "imported" grey warden will vanish for unknown reasons, with years later and saying the tales of her does not seem to end. From some unknown reason. That feels really.. good... No, not really. More like so what was the point of getting Alistair and your Grey Warden married and then she ends up leaving without a word to say why and where? Did she finally run away cause she has to kill more Darkspawn and find Morrigan who has their child with old god powers and who knows what on earth Morrigan was planning to do with this child.

Is there an implication to you guys and gals who went through your ending and thought your "imported" grey warden is done for good? Left to your imagination of possiabilities of who knows what really happens?

I feel sort of stumped on this because I do not see it continuing on with your grey warden that you may have builded on many hours upon hours. I also do not see a prologue to show how people react and talk with your companions or showing no different cutscene scene after you killed the Mother. There is no continue for any miss questing that you do not accomplish but maybe it has to do with no Downloadable Content for the Awakening? Which I see no point to have such a thing.

So in most summarized version I will say here. Shocked, surprised and somewhat disappointing endings.

What do you think of the Dragon Age Awakening Endings? Has anyone found the most optimistic ending? Or at least you were satifised with the result?

For the players who have done Female Human Noble and married to Alistair as King and Queen: Do you feel a slight bit disappointed with a few years back to your king Alistair that your warden marries and then she just goes poof without a reason?

Yes I will have to play this some more next time, but my 1st time was a bit of a "Wow that is sad."
