Hi there everyone!

Before i start in on anything.. i'd like to mention that everything here is concerning the green ronin pen 'n paper rpg dragon age.

I just have a few questions i'd like to ask.. and maybe get some help with.  Also, sorry if this is in the wrong forum.. but i thought a community creation forum would be the best for this type of thing?

My first question is about monster creation... the list they give you is rather limited and doesnt tell you how to level a monster up or anything like that.  So, if anyone has experience running a game, or making a monster for the game.. maybe you could pass on some pointers to me?

My next question is a little easier.. or perhaps much harder.. but, i'm not a very imaginative person at times (i blame television! :P).  Anyway, i'm having trouble thinking up a storyline arc to put the party through.

Things would take place a few months after origins, while my warden is up in amarathine.. dealing with pest problems and the like.  The party wouldn't be grey wardens, and they're not going to be out to save ferelden.. so, if anybody could give me an idea as to what a fun story might be?(not saying gimme a whole story, but a theme and a location or something?)

Anyway.. other than that.. thank you for reading *smiles*  If anybody wants to give any additional pointers for a budding DM, i'd love to listen to anything anybody has to say.  Have a good night everyone!

While I'm not familiar with the Dragonage P&P your second question seems to be a independent question from any RPG system. I assume you and your group are new to this and havent played yet, so my suggestion would be to start slow, with a fistful of shortstory adventures so that the players have a chance to get familiar with their chars and the chars with each other ingame and you with their playstyle. Chances are good that after a few sessions you'll get a first idea about an epic story arc.

Thanks for the advice about what type of stories i should to start *smile* Maybe i'll take a look at the things like the sidequests in the game and try to fashion something like those? Unless someone who's made stories before (even for D&D 'n stuff like that) could offer a nice beginner style quest.

Oh! And if anybody else reads this, i'm still looking for help on how to create an enemy for the P&P game :)

PS - I'm not trying to be lazy by asking people stuff like this, this is just the first time i've done something like this, and i don't want my friends to thnk that it won't be fun to play just 'cause i can't give them something fun to do.

One thing you might look for is a PDF of the old original D&D modules B11: King's Festival and B12: Queen's Harvest.

Those could easily be converted to DA and might make for decent starter adventures. I used those to kick off a long running 3.5 D&D game after come conversions.
