I was lugging around as much stuff as I could before selling and destroying loot so that I could keep some items that have prereqs to use, items for party members that I haven't even met yet, etc.

Downloaded and installed. Just want to give a big thanks to Craig Graff for putting this together ;)

First, thanks Craig for taking that extra step in providing this to us.

Second, help! The chest isn't appearing in the main camp.
Can you guys who got it working tell me what I did wrong?

1. Extracted the mod to the following folder structure: C:\Users\User1\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns\tal_storage_chest
2. Copied everything inside the <AddInsList> tags from the Manifest.xml file
3. Pasted the data into ./Settings/AddIns.xml (added an opening <AddInsList> tag before the data since it looked like there should be one)

Ahh, found the problem. For Step 3 make sure you add an opening <AddInsList> tag then paste the data and then close the <AddInsList> tag properly. The default <AddInsList /> tag that was there already is not the closing tag.

Try leaving the camp and coming back to it. (It sounds like you aren't at the main camp.)

It sounds like you have the version that had the duplicated module_core script. If you download the current file and overwrite the files, you should be fine.

Awesome! It didn't work for me at first, but I corrected the mistake by doing what Kru12000 did. I just copied everything from and including "< AddInsList >" to "< / AddInsList >" and pasted the content between " < !-- AddIn information -- > " and " < AddInsList / > "

I had thought the same thing he did about the closing tag.

Hmm, I'm not sure why you're not seeing it then. The chest should be right next to the tent with the 9-string guitar. The one Leliana is standing kinda close to. If that helps any when you're looking for the chest.

I would be very useful for you to post instructions on how exactly you did this. I've tried recreating it myself, but when I enable my own Mod, all the party members are missing from the camp!

Slightly paranoid but, what are the odds of this mod breaking and eating my stash?.. or how could it happend?

Edit: Also, it appears that this chest has the same storage limit as the soldier's peak chest. Any idea how to make it an effective bottomless chest? Seriously I have no "real" problem with party inventory limits but having a cap on party storage is somewhat silly.

All hail Craig Graff, who in one swift stroke, destroyed half of the whiners on the forums (at least the ones complaining about the DLC/storage and turning every thread moribund). Now, if only we could somehow appease the micromanagement haters...

What's the capacity?

Seems that for now the DLC Chest and Camp storage chest have a limit of 100 items. I'd filled up my Soldier's Peak chest relatively quickly from compnents/runes/gifts I was hoarding for when I'd know what to make of them.

I've uploaded a simple camp storage chest addin here.

Unfortunately, there is a bit of finangling to do with the Addins.xml file. This should be handled automatically in the future, but for now I've added some instructions, as well as uploaded the complete package.

Where do I mail the check for $7?  :innocent:

All I know is it works and couldn't have come at a better time. Anyone that says the default inventory is enough to work with should be shot and hung from a tree. Now I might even look at the Wardens Keep as viable DLC but it's still expensive.

I would have never even considered buying "Wardens Keep" had this not been released. I don't care what anyone says. Even if they work for Bioware. Most are definantly out of the loop on this EA marketing scam. "Wardens Keep" was designed to make you buy it once you run out of storage space and nothing more. Now just lower the price and we're good to go.

So sayeth the wise Alondo.

PS thanks again Craig you rock and this bud if for you cheers...

Nice, it seems pretty simple after reading through the source. one question tho. How would you recommend finding the right location to spawn objects like this?

Open up an area with the same layout as the one you are looking to place an object in (brc999d in this case).

Then either:
a) move your mouse pointer over the place where you want to put the camp and write down the coordinates (bottom right of the toolset
or B) place a chest in your test area and copy the coordinates to the spawn script (probably the better option, overall)

Thank you! This is EXACTLY what this ol' packrat here badly needed.
