What class/classes would finish insanity with the least amount of trouble?

I've tried em all and they're all pretty well balanced if you're using them right. That said, I'd give the edge to the Engineer (great range of CC/damage abilities, imba drone for distraction) or the Infiltrator (sniper rifle headshot ownage and a good range of abilities).

let me start by saying that this is a very silly question.

let me continue by saying it depends a lot on the way a person plays.

let me finish by saying they are all very well balanced

Sentinel imo. You have powers for every defense, decent CC and a shield boost with permanent duration. If you're hanging back in cover, Tech Armour should be up almost any time your shields go down.

Again jumping on the Soldier bandwagon.

Other classes do the job very well though, arguably better than the Soldier if you know/like how they play. I just found Soldier to be the "easiest" in terms of fighting and not really thinking much.

Soldier is the easiest class to handle on insanity for most people. They have the weapons and ammo to handle any situation and adrenaline rush is the most powerful skill in the game. Other classes have a higher learning curve before they become really easy on insanity. It really boils down to what kind of class you love playing. If you love playing a certain way, then you will learn very quickly and insanity will become easy.

As long as you aren't playing NG+ and are making sure to get all the upgrades then it doesn't really matter. It is fairly balanced between the classes

Balanced?

I've played all chars on insanity and I never died once in a full playthrough with a shotgun assault sentinel (other than bugs and real life distractions, and on one occasion just trying to take some damage to see if it was actually possible for this char to die)

Sentinel with the new kasumi DLC it makes it possible to get tech cooldown upgrade after garus's recruitment mission, making the game a cake walk by just spamming tech armor. (before you could not get that upgrade until after the collector mission). Also the Locust is really good on the assault sentinel until you get the shotgun.

Nevertheless, Infiltrator.

I guess it depends how you define easy. If by easy you mean 'dies the least' then the Sentinel is the most versatile class in ME2 and due to their Tech Armor can take quite a beating if you mess something up. If by easy you mean 'finishes the fastest' then the Soldier is probably the best choice since their Adrenaline Rush grants a huge damage bonus and can be spammed ad nauseam. As you can see the situation varies depending upon your perspective.

Now, don't misunderstand me, the Adept, Engineer, Infiltrator and Vanguard are also great classes and fun in their own ways. Infltrator was probably the most fun for me as their is just something awesome about cloaking and them killing an enemy from halfway across the map. Engineer is enjoyable just watching your Combat Drone cause chaos while you dismantle the enemy's defenses. Adept is great, especially with Warp Ammo, because you can toss enemes around just to see where they land or how far they can travel. Vanguard is probably the most difficult to master but the most rewarding once you do; they have to be played aggressively but Charging across an entire room and placing a shotgun blast in their face never gets old.

Anyway, it really depends on your playing style and what you would consider easy.

Soldier, but my insanity run is vangaurd, because they are fun, not the easiest class due to their main ability putting youout in the open but fun none the less.

Anyone that isn't saying solider actually does not know what they're talking about. Soldier is a totally faceroll class in this game in general.

I played all classes. The soldier is easy, but definetly not the easiest.Adept could laugh in the face of harbinger with singularity.

Uh adept is definitely one of the more difficult classes to play, that's like not debatable. It's pretty simple you see your soldier has more health and weapon damage than any other class and can slow down time. And they get the Revenant.

I wouldn't suggest playing with a Soldier because it's very boring...but ya it's totally DUUUURRR faceroll.

Adept is the only class that can lock down a protected enemy, but apart from that, it's one of the worse damage dealers and it's also very vulnerable compared to soldier (health), sentinel (tech armor) and infiltrator (cloak).

You can just use flashbangs to cc and silence protected enemies now.

It doesnt matter. The question was which was the most easy class to play. Engineer and Adept are the classes that have the most control of the battlefield with their abilities. They dont have to hurry killing things and could take their time.Even on collector plattforms or the biotic bubble(scion and husk attack/infiltrator is definetly not the easiest class there) .
This is my definition of easy.
Most dangerous situations are cakewalks for the adept and the engineer(except geth hunters for the engineer).

Good use of and understanding of abilities =/= easy.

All the classes are "easy" once you understand their abilities and where and when to use them. The soldier completely skips this learning curve, making it the easiest.

Soldier is the "easiest" because it is also the simplest, never do anything but HAR and shoot.

Of course, this is geared to someone who has decent FPS/TPS skills.
An RPG-to-the-core player would probably find the ability-heavy classes easier.:wizard:
