Lots of you probably know this already, but for those that might not, I thought I'd give you a heads-up that the very cool online gamer's mag The Escapist, has just published it's latest issue about fanfiction.
I've not read the features yet, so can't give you any insight on their take or on the quality of the articles, but thought yous guys might find it interesting.

P.S. I should also say, that if you are a gurl or want to pretend to be a gurl and you feel like being naughty, write some responses or posts on The Escapist site about gurl-gaming - perhaps throwing in some references to how much you enjoy Farmville/Cooking Mama and how you wish all games were made this way. And then larf uncontrollably as (probably people also being naughty tbh) swap their games controllers for caveman clubs. In my day, we had to make our own entertainment.
