What are your thoughts? Not really abotu GoW3, but on the trailer. Awesome? Ok? Aweful? What do you think?

The chick looks hot. I liked the music to the trailer. Dom has a bigger beard. It seems they've lost no weight. Those thresher maws look cool.

Interesting in seeing what happened to Dom. He looked pretty ragged in the trailer. It makes sense if you think about it, with his wife getting killed and all. It looks like he hit the bottle pretty hard or turned suicidal.  If they run with that thought process maybe Dom will kill himself in the game to save humanity or Marcus or something...

*It's kind of typical Gears of War trailer stuff.  CGI with a cool song and lots of drama.  I did like the Brothers to the End line at the finish.

Interesting. Though I wonder what they're going to be doing with the story line. Really how many more times can they save themselves from annihilation?

Looks good. The main thing I like about GoW is its great fun for Coop play, I'm not big into shooters, but its still a lot of fun to play with a friend. 4 Player coop sounds awesome, and the fact that they're adding a female gear is nice too - I get tired of the massive sausagefest that most of these kinds of games end up being.

It isn't a Japanese game though, its a western shooter, which dictates that all men must typical marine alpha-male stereotypes. So if it looks like a chick, its probably a chick.

The female soldier reminded me of a member of the old German female swim team. The helga's that were on roids.

Yah, I thought it extremely weird, but the idea of a lady Gear seems just as improbable.  Also, (s)he's only on screen for like 3 seconds, not exactly a long time to determine gender.

It's an OK trailer, i suppose.
To put it into context, the ME2 launch trailer was epic, the Splinter Cell:Conviction launch trailer () is awesome and this one in question is just OK... Of course the amount of relevant information in this one cannot be compared to the launch trailers but still.
Also a good choice of music elevates the trailer into new heights. That's missing here, imo. It's there; but it gets the whole thing to the 'OK' level only. The trailer is just mediocre, then.

The song from the MGS4 trailer I personally thought was awesome.

What makes it random? Wouldn't you pick a gun and shoot big hulking monsters that want to kill you no matter how physically excellent you are if you had no other choice?

The woman in the trailer is Anya btw.

I'm sure the point of my previous statement went over your head.

Two completely different art styles. Not a question of physical condition.
