The trailer has a lady gear.
Nice
hmm...i thought it was the typical androgynous protagonist from a JRPG. I guess it could be a female.
Did you not see all the overly huge, musucular men?
Why would they randomly put a bishounen in this manly game?
Wouldn't you pick a gun and shoot big hulking monsters that want to kill you no matter how physically excellent you are if you had no other choice?
The woman in the trailer is Anya btw.
Dom was about to give up until Marcus saved him and put a gun in his hand. I think that is because his wife died and at that moment he was ready to meet her in the afterlife. Then his friend swooped in and helped him back into reality. So, that isn't the easiest of questions to answer depending on your mental health.

All I know is I can't wait. Also, at first I thought the grizzled Dom was supposed to be Marcus, lol. I've rented an thoroughly enjoyed both Gears of War games, and this one looks to continue the trend. I might have to actually get this one. I'm so pumped after watching that trailer I want to go rent Gears 2 again and play it, as well as finish the book Aspho Fields. Then get the other one and read it.
Rented?
Blasphemy!
BUY IT!

That and I think another part of it was that he was alone, and the situation looked hopeless, then his buddy Marcus shows up with the rest of the squad, andthere's hope again now that he has his friends by his side. Helps bring out the cooperative nature of the game.JHorwath wrote...

I'm sure the point of my previous statement went over your head.
Two completely different art styles. Not a question of physical condition.
I didn't say anything about physical condition specifically. Although that does fall under physical excellence.

Otherwise, that was.. boring. For the first trailer, they could;'ve done alot better.

Yes, but I ment the woman.(Anya) If I remember correctly, Anya was Marcus's girl, or at least it seemed that way from the games.

The only thing I remember about Anya was she was the voice over the com in the original Gears of War. I think she was in a cinema briefly. I don't really know the relationship between her and Marcus outside of what was presented in the original.

Shooters with good stories are rare, and honestly I have more fun with ME2's gameplay than I ever did with any Gears of War game, really the main draw for me is that its coop mode is great, I find it a little disapointing that serious coop play has sorted disappeared over the years in favor of varoius vs. modes. I'm glad we're starting to see this sort of thing show up in games more, and I think Gears' success has helped that a lot.Sloth Of Doom wrote...
The GoW games themselves are mediocre at best. The gameplay is fun but the stories are rather dull. The trailers are always good, however. This one didn't have the impact of the first two but it was still very good.

I've decided to get a 360 for this. And by extension, GoW2 too.
If you do indeed pick up Gears 2 then you should find the multiplayer aspect still trucking along.

I mean Unreal Tournament 3 wasn't so bad that it was good, it was so bad that it was terrible. Story wise.
