All I know is I can't wait.  Also, at first I thought the grizzled Dom was supposed to be Marcus, lol.  I've rented an thoroughly enjoyed both Gears of War games, and this one looks to continue the trend.  I might have to actually get this one.  I'm so pumped after watching that trailer I want to go rent Gears 2 again and play it, as well as finish the book Aspho Fields.  Then get the other one and read it.

That and I think another part of it was that he was alone, and the situation looked hopeless, then his buddy Marcus shows up with the rest of the squad, andthere's hope again now that he has his friends by his side. Helps bring out the cooperative nature of the game.

The GoW games themselves are mediocre at best. The gameplay is fun but the stories are rather dull. The trailers are always good, however. This one didn't have the impact of the first two but it was still very good.

Yes, but I ment the woman.(Anya) If I remember correctly, Anya was Marcus's girl, or at least it seemed that way from the games.

The only thing I remember about Anya was she was the voice over the com in the original Gears of War.  I think she was in a cinema briefly.  I don't really know the relationship between her and Marcus outside of what was presented in the original.

Shooters with good stories are rare, and honestly I have more fun with ME2's gameplay than I ever did with any Gears of War game, really the main draw for me is that its coop mode is great, I find it a little disapointing that serious coop play has sorted disappeared over the years in favor of varoius vs. modes. I'm glad we're starting to see this sort of thing show up in games more, and I think Gears' success has helped that a lot.

If you do indeed pick up Gears 2 then you should find the multiplayer aspect still trucking along.

I played the tutorial of GOW1 and gave it back to the owner. I just didn't like that kind of game. However, from what I read and have seen, I'll love Damon to bits. It might be enough to suffer though it just to interact with him. Maybe.

I like the look of DOm, even though bearded scruffy dudes are in. If Gears 3 is anything like Gears 2 though I bet the Female soldier gets killed off quickly.

Is that good or bad? Because Gears 2 was really bad... But not as bad as Unreal Tournament 3. That game had to have the worst writing EVER, for a game that was suppose to be serious and wasn't done in a couple months.

I mean Unreal Tournament 3 wasn't so bad that it was good, it was so bad that it was terrible.  Story wise.

Well Gears of War 1 it wasn't a problem because the storyline was barely there, in Gears 2 it was up in your face.
