That doesn't look anything like Dom to me, but I think it's cool that they all look different. It shows the progression the characters have made. Marcus looks a little bit more chill and Dom's just let himself go becasue of the whole Maria ordeal. Anya is now a soldier, and to anyone who's read the novels, she's following in her mother's footsteps.

April 2011 can't come soon enough.

Possibly, but I tend not to play online multiplayer. But if/when I do get them, I'll give it a go of course.

one thing i remember about GOW2 coop was how bad the squadmate ai was. it was terribad. hopefully either the squadmate ai can be replaced by a human player, or more sophisticated ai.

there's 4-player co-op, so Baird and Cole will be playable. though they might throw in AI Carmine and Anya in the mix as well. hopefully they won't spend half the game being gunned down like Dom in Gears 1.

the first one had a PC version, complete with a deleted chapter and Unreal Engine Level Editor.

supposedly piracy was the main reason, but the Wikipedia source link for that quote links to an article that doesn't even mention it, just the fact they weren't going to port Gears 2 to the PC. then again, i am looking at Wikipedia for information, i shouldn't be surprised.

I must say it isnt the best announcement trailer I have ever seen but I am fan of the series and I will probably still pick up the game regardless.



Also I see a lot of people creaming over the new female gear in the trailer but isnt it obvious with how many players accusing GOW for being a huge sausage fest that they eventually had to make a female gear?

There's really  no need to act like an angry generic grunt cutting monsters in half with a chain-saw just because of a perfectly valid and factually correct opinion.

Trailer was okay, but i still cant stand the out of proportioned bodies. Just started Dawn of War II and cant understand what is with the huge boned space marines. They are just like the guys in Gears of War.

May rent it to see how great it is.

Like the previous titles, Gears is definitely a great game to pick up for playing with friends. I'll be picking this up when it comes out for a good deal of entertainment with others.
