I glanced at the first 3 pages and didn't see any topics on this but I'm sure it's been brought up at some point. I can't find a Search feature in these forums but I am new and don't know where everything's located yet so just delete this trhead if it's a repeat.
My 60 gig PS3 just died on me while playing DA:O. It now only comes on for about 2-3 minutes at a time and then shuts itself off. I copied all my save files onto a flash drive with the exception of this game, which I have played the most. The save files are copyright protected and won't let me save it over to flash drive.
I have over 20 hours into this game and really don't won't to start over. I just bought a new PS3 slim and was wondering if there is any way to get my saves files transferred over to my new system? Like I said, my old PS3 turns off every 2 minutes or so, therefore, I don't know if I'll have time to backup the entire harddrive. I just don't understand why Bioware wouldn't want you copying save files for backups or whatever.
Is there anyway to get my save files over to my new PS3 or am I just going to have to start over? Thanks for any help.
Any way to copy Save Files?

You could try swapping the HDD's over between PS3's. You can back up the HDD to another portable HDD and then do a restore but you can't copy the DA game saves over.
There is a thread on these on the front page. Unlock the saves thread funnily enough.
