Out of curiosity - does the old team still exist?

After my 'disappearance' everybody disbanded, so I thought it best to work hard on some stuff and get content done, and do a big update. With this, I hope to attract both new team members and some of the old ones.

Its going real good though, the trailer is shaping up real nice. Pretty offical looking, if I might say so myself.

interesting - because I know me and some others sent info that we actually hadn't disbanded after the big Mea Culpa email this summer. However, I did officially disband on the old Wiki tonight.

I'm sure Divinity will be a fascinating experience for all involved.

Of course, any who were previously involved are free to join up again! Any help is appreciated, and it would make building a team a whole lot easier.

So, if you are (still interested, that is) I'd welcome you back with open arms.

Thank you for the kind offer, but no.

I don't think hyping up an entire team in April, disappearing without notice, then re-appearing, apologizing to everyone, disappearing again, and then letting us find out, in August, by having to ask in a forum that we've been disbanded, is indicative of a project with a communication and behaviour-culture I'd want to restart contributing to.

I'm sorry you feel that way. However, after my return, I did try to get everyone back onto the developer forum, but the way I had disappeared had created a rift - I felt that I needed to 'make up' for the disapperence. I didn't disappear again, I was just working hard on the project, and I wanted to get something done to show the team, therefore re-gain the original hype after the break, but alas, it took longer than I intended, and after a full-write up of the storyline, characters, locations etc, it was too difficult to recontact you guys again. From here, I'd thought it would be better to show off all the stuff I've been working on, and then see (if possible) if the old team members want to continue with the project. As I know myself, the main fault was my illness, or we would have been well into development now, but soon, I will have a full team and development will commence. If any of the 'former' team do want to continue with the project (even after several disappointments) I'd be honered to have you back. If your unsure, then I ask you to wait for the coming update, and hopefully that will sway your minds.

I'm very sorry you are sorry for me feeling this way.

It'll pass.

As I said - I know several of the team responded to you via the message forum here - that's what we have things like Skype for, we *talk* - that's how I know people did repond to you.

So what happened? Did the BSN messaging system crash on you?

I fell off a horse in May. I almost broke my back and I am still undergoing physio. I still managed to punch in a few lines at the Wiki, so you're not alone in having been at a bad place, healthwise.

This is the last post from me - I just find it that letting a whole team find out, by forum post, that they're redundant, is a sh*tty way to treat people, no matter WHAT you are assuming. When you run people you don't assume - you make sure.

Want to break into the game industry?

Learn to communicate.

Firstly, no one sent me a message through any messaging system anywhere. I received nothing, and will happily wade through message inbox's to prove this. That simply provided evidence to my point that I thought the team wasn't involved anymore.

Secondly, learn to communicate yourself. While your at it, reading is also a great way of understanding:

If you had (around 20 minutes ago) communicated to me, you could have said in one of your previous posts here that the team had not disbanded. I was under the impression that they had, after I recieved several messages of people moving on. I said:
"After my 'disappearence' everybody disbanded"
This was an assumption, and a truth that I had come to believe. If you knew it was wrong, why didn't you tell me there? Instead, you vaguely responded with what I (unfortunatly) didn't read as sarcasm. What I meant from this is that I thought everyone had left, backed up by several messages from people leaving.

I have other things to do. I have a day-job, 9 - 5. After this, I have work to do at home for that job. On top of this, I'm single-handedly keeping a mod project going until I can gather a team. My hands are full. I do not have the time to send messages to everyone on here, about exactly what I' am doing right now.

Also, its not like your positions have been refilled and you've been kicked out. I'm solo at the moment, again because I thought that you guys had 'moved' on. The team was never offically ended, everyone was just sick of everything. If I pulled out some really nifty stuff, and impressed you guys, it would return to normal. Thats what I've been doing, and focusing on.

Again, I thought the team had disbanded. Several people sent me messages telling me they had left the team.
And that ends this. This thread is for the public, not the development. We've taken up a page, and that should be that.

Looks interesting and I might be interested in getting involved.

My question is what time frame are you looking to finish this project in? Will development continue for DAO since DA2 is coming out early next year and most players will assumingly be moving to that?
