Yes!!! Just like that.

OH I left out,

In my ongoing play through, I made her kill the little possessed urchin so she'd have to live with it the rest of her miserable life. Sacrificing Isolde is the easy way out for her.

<--- This guy totally screwed the Guerrins.

Sacrificed Isolde to go to the Fade, ONLY to **** a Demon and allow it to have Connor. Papa Eamon wouldn't be happy if he knew...

I used to save both her and Connor, but ever since I discovered there is no disapproval from Alistair for letting her sacrifice herself, she ALWAYS dies.

What? He always flips his **** as soon as the first camp stop after doing that.

You have to say "I think that turned out quite well, don't you?" to Alistair as soon as you get to camp. Then you actually gain approval.

Killing Connor pretty much screws them anyway seeing as Isolde dies in childbirth having their second kid (also a mage).  My bad Cousland did that - he saw it as a means to removing a potential rival to the throne. He also had Alistair executed and married Anora.

I suspect that Isolde and Bann Teagan are having an affair, and that Conner may be his son. I also believe Arl Eamon knows, or at least has evidence of this, but mainly due to his lifetime of experience with Alistair and his abandonment, simply chooses to be above it all. This belief is mostly due to love letters being found at Redcliff and the Estate in Deneri, as well as Isoldes' abrasive but persuasive appeal to Teagan.

I let Jowan blow her up it was funny as hell kinda looked like walking bomb but up close. I usually either goto the circle or kill connor though, Isolde isn't that bad actually when you realise she is trying to deal with her husband being half dead and her only child is now a demon host.

Oh yes. She started the whole mess and then actually makes demands of you. And when Alistair, whom she has been downright nasty to and sent away from his home, wants to save her noble arse she just goes "oh it's you, what are you doing here... Teeeeaaagan!"
I usually save her, while fervently hoping a magical dialogue option will show up that says: "Fetchez la vache!" and you can catapult a cow onto her...

That is the part about the whole mess that p!sses me off.I don't mind saving Connor, after all it's not his fault that his mom is a (to quote Jowan) "a pious woman" who shuns Alistair and then lies to her husband for the sake of her own reputation.Yeah, like she's the epitome of a saint <_<.Pfffht.
If I was Arl Eamon, I would've slapped her for that. And the glances between her and Bann Teagan. What's up with that? I get the impression that they got some secret affair going on.The way she talks is annoying.I don't think it's  because she's from Orlais and has a french accent, it's because I know what she did to Alistair and how she reacts to things like a damsel in distress who seems helpless. It's like as if she has Teagan wrapped around her finger.Which doesn't work on Teagan after he finds out what she did. That was the "hehe Teagan told you off!" moment. I wouldn't say I hate her. By the time she realizes that her plans with Connor backfired and got her husband poisoned and people killed, she feels bad about it.That's enough payback I think. I usually save both her and Connor and follow Alistair's train of thought; do it for Arl Eamon. It's another example of how Alistair is the better man because of how he handles that situation.

She loves her son, yes, and the cutscene where she is begging for his life (if you opt to kill him) is pretty heart-rending. I almost feel sorry for her there.

Me, too.  I finally did the option of confronting Connor upstairs, leading to Isolde doing the deed herself and it is the only scenario that leaves me feeling at all sorry for her.

I kill her for Alistair's sake too. If Eamon ends up being his advisor the last thing King Alistair needs is an advisor who is under the influence of an Orlesian minx, especially one who was one of the occupiers his father fought against.

Yeah. I hate the Arlessa.

I hate the demon who possessed Connor more though. How DARE that inferior waste of life get between me and my goal?

Even my "evil" characters go the "good" route here just so they can kill the demon themselves.

Really?? I'm just the opposite. Even my "good" PCs make a deal with the demon! And when my PC is a mage, Isolde DIES!!!!!!

well I don't think it as evil per se more like purging idiots from the world of Thedas I mean she was dumb enough to go hire an apostate who of course was a blood mage to tutor her son and ends up starting the entire bullcrap and then connor makes a deal with a demon....... that's self explainatory. After going thru all that I think its your right no your DUTY to kill them both that way their idiocy will be purged from the worldPosted Image

How does that remove a potential rival to the throne? Connor couldn't claim the throne as a mage and now Eamon can marry someone who doesn't have mage genes.

That's true Sarah, but this is in the context of Alistair saying that "if there's a potential heir, it's Arl Eamon." If it were possible not to have to traipse after the sodding ashes to cure his useless arse, then I'd go that route, but since you're railroaded into curing him, the best way to deal with him is to inflict a tragedy on him in order to demoralise him. By the time he's picked himself back up, Anora and Cousland are safely ensconced on the throne and much loved by their public.

Incidentally I'm not nearly this Machieviellian in real life. I'm generally a bit of a softy. Eamon gets my goat for some reason, though.
