*POW*
PC: Gee, thanks Commander Shepard she was really getting on my nerves, want to kill some undead with me?
Commander Shepard: I should go.

Hmm, so some people think she was having an affair with Teagan? I never got that impression.
Danal tells you so! The mustache never lies.
It was one of the first rumors I heard and I've disliked Teagan ever since.
The only impression that I got is that she may have a thing for Teagan. It may just be that he's her husband's brother and she considers him part of her family given that she left her real family in Orlais. Then again she doesn't display the level of affection with Eamon that she has for Teagan. It's all conjecture, at any rate.
BTW, with regard to Isolde and her piety - embarassment is the wrong word for a pious woman who holds magic as being ungodly giving birth to a mage. Humiliation would be more apt. It's Jowan that highlights that particular point.

She's a mother who loves her son....You have to realize that. Though she can be **** jerk.
You have to realize she is usually always the first of the people to die in horror movies, doing something irrational and usually taking 3-6 other with her in the moment.
EDIT: In games we just usually call those sorta people noobs

So I'm at Redcliffe in my current playthrough, and everytime I'm at this part of the game I just want to punt dwarves and slam my head against a car door. Her voice drives me crazy, "Teaaaaagaaaaan! You must help me save Connor!" She is the one who started this whole mess at Redcliffe and she tries to cover it up and pretend like she didn't know any better.
Usually I go the mages route and save both Isolde and Connor but this time I had to go a different path. I went upstairs and gave her an elbow to the face (and boy that was satisfying!)
So does anyone else hate her too? I really can't stand her anymore, I used to be able to grin and bear through her dialogue but now I just skip it.
EDIT: Maybe hate is too strong of a word for it, more like I really really dislike her.
UGH Everytime I hear her voice I wish there was a "Punt Isolde off the cliffeside" mod ala Leonidas...
can you just see it? PC kicks her "This is REDCLIFFE!"
I hate her so much I actually enjoy telling Jowan yea lets do the ritual...I don't care if it makes Alistair crazy...I LIKE killing her...I'm such a bad bad person. But at least it gives the silly cow a chance to make up for all the HARM she did (as Arlessa should have prevented). Those were her people and she fed them to the wolves without a second thought. Some were kids too. Yea I got no pity for her at ALL !!
Plus Teagan is hot I don't like how familiar she gets with the whole Teeeeeagannn! thing.

Lol, you can have a conversation with Leliana about Redcliffe and she ponders the name herself... perhaps there was an Isolde clone in the past and that's how the place got it's name.

oh man what a sweet image...I am a mother too but damn that stupid cow makes my blood boil. I used to use the Circle but after a couple mage playthroughs I stopped feeling any empathy for her. I just kill her and take the lumps when I get back to camp...
Then I hand Alistair his mothers amulet and he's all happy again. Ain't that a kick in the pants?

The french accents were generally pretty terrible. I wanted to cut Marjolaine's tongue out. And that lady at Denerim that sells perfume or something? Ergh! The only decent accent was Riordan, and that's probably because the guy is actually french (I think).
Yes. Riordan's VA's native language is French (though I don't know if he IS French or French Canadian). Also Leliana's accent is real.
Marjolaine is voiced by Kath Soucie who does VO work for a lot of cartoons in the states. (Rugrats for one). Her accent is completely fake and inspired by I guess Pepe LePew (another cartoon character with a fake accent) *Sigh* I believe she also voices Anora's maid, Erlina too. Sounds like her anyway. And she does the human female PC Sultry voice subset.

I don't like the fact that there is a rainbows and sunshine happy ending, getting to the tower most likely took a week to reach and the demon sat there and did nothing? I mean WTH.
That's why I don't go to the Tower for help anymore - it doesn't make RP'ing sense for me. DA is supposed to be a "dark" game, so I really wish both the Arl of Redcliffe and Broken Circle questlines had been less black & white, with consequences no matter how they were resolved.

Wait, wait. Erlina is Anora's maid, right? In that case the Voice actress for Isolde did *not* do Erlina. Erlina was voiced by Veteran Voice Actress K. Souchie. Many might know her from the Rugrats series, though she's done hundreds of other characters across various shows and games.
*Note: Sorry, re-read some the previous posts. Some of you already established that K. Souchie did Erlina's VO. My point really should have just been that she did not Voice Isolde. If you listen closely, you can hear the difference. Kath has a much higher tenor, even when she tries to due huskier voices, where-as the VA for Isolde is natually more low pitch, even when she yells, though it still sounds screechy.

It doesn't have to be a sunny ending. For instance, my self-serving now blood mage didn't give a crap about Redcliffe and let them all die, sacrificed Isolde in a flash, traded in Connor's soul for some goodies, but was terribly disappointed that he couldn't despoil the ashes prior to taking a pinch. The game won't let you kill Eamon. Ah, well... two out of three ain't bad. On another note, it really is quite just getting Isolde to kill her own son.
I know what you mean though - it's oh so very convenient that the demon waits patiently while you clear out the tower.
