I'll forgive Bioware for stealing my sword if it shows up 100 years later and my new character can find it in some stash with a codex entry about the alleged legend of it's orgin. That would really be awesome.
And what if you simply get a better sword?

I was already peeved at the Crows, I helped that slackjack Caesar during Origins and he said the Crows wouldn't accept new contracts on me. BS, thats why I returned to my throne room and a Crow almost shot me in the face.
If I meet them again in the future, they will become headless rather quickly.

When I saw that epilogue card I did a double take. What? Are they serious? Crows just randomly steal my sword at the end?Wonder where they are going with that.

Sure, I'll be killing all the ones I see in the next game.C9316 wrote...
So Urshakk,Revya, anyone wanna join me in skinning some crows???
Most of the Crows you fight are in either ragged clothes or light armor with two short daggers. I don't know about you, but that isn't deadly enough to kill me, but rather its a free meal quite frankly.OrlesianWardenCommander wrote...
You forget how deadly crows actually are, The qunari wont even invade antiva cause of the crows guild lies there. They should make theses guys harder to kill cause there the best of the best. Also sword stolen is a good thing cause we'll see it next game

And if Sten is an example of a typical Qunari warrior than clearly the Warden has nothing to fear.OrlesianWardenCommander wrote...

Antiva has no army to defend it. The only military forces are owned by the merchants that own mercenary forces and fight for control over the market. i read on the codex that the qunari wont invade antiva because of the Antivan crows Guild they are easy to kill they should be harder considering how deadly they claimed to be. But i think they just had the sword taken in the codex so they could bring it back easier in the next game.

The only thing that really makes any sense is that Master Ignacio did it to lure you to Antiva so you could go into business with him as he suggested at the end of the quest line in DA:O. I'm sure he'll return it - he knows very well the consequences of pissing you off too much.

It is also a plot hook to explain why it gets might get in the hands of different protagonists for future games.
'Wandering weapons' is a part of many fantasy literatures.
Even Excalibur left, came back, and left again.
