Do you really think Bioware will reduce practically all the character's roles in ME3 just because Wrex, Tali, Garrus, and everybody else can die?

Does everybody forget Casey saying they'll have a lot of freedom to do a lot of things in 3 that they couldn't do with 1 and 2 since it's the end?

It would cost too much money to throw around VA like that

EDIT:  They'd have to bring back some characters for sure if not all of them

Not.... Really, It be costly but then again No more costly then a fully Voiced MMO.

I guess it is people figure that rolls will be dropped case they can die what there not realizing is they can easily just do a "roll swap" scenario.

To put it simply.

If Character A died In mass effect 2 But share traits of character B then Character B can fill the story roll of Character A.

Logic = Flawed.

It cost allot more money to do a fully Voiced MMO which might I add they are doing.

So you're saying Casey Hudson essentially lied? Does all the profit and popularity ME2 has received not count for anything?

I seem to remember most people thinking Tali wasn't a romance option and look how that turned out.

I got fully what you meant they have to bring back every VA to cover every scenario of what could happen but what you’re failing to realize is 2 things.

1. A fully voiced MMO would have to do this Exact same thing plus some to support every scenario every character takes.
2. Bioware tends to keep VA on the payroll any way this may be a shocker to you but many of ME VA were in DA:O and many DA:O were in ME2.

Again.. it possibly it won't be easy but bioware likes a challenge.

What I meant by throwing around VA is that it wouldn't be cost benificial because at first they'd have to bring back all the other ones in some sort of capacity. It would be most effective if they were given major roles because if they weren't they would have to hire new VA's on top of that and that would not be cost effective.

Ahh then yes I misread and fully agree, I mean yes people will have to accept that losing a character will kill some story but they could easily do it like loyalty mission, Any major missions can be filled by anyone who fit the roll needed.

Example you need an engineer or Tech type to hack a device to find reapers per say who can fill this roll: Tali, Legion, Kasumi, Miranda, Kaiden ((I think he was engineer and biotic can't remember to well)) Basically anyone who has a engineering tree can fill this roll.

Now how do you keep things deep? Loyalty mission idea if said character gone ya you lose a chunk of story but that was your decision to let them die and must live with it were people who let them live get a nice deep side story done viea loyalty style.

That basically how it have to work it mean a little extra VA and programming work but it very possible.

This. If one is content with 'SPLOSHUNS above all else, losing aspects of the story won't bother them. Besides, having everybody survive is pretty damn easy.

You know, OP, I find myself asking the question in your thread title right now as I read your post.

They wouldn't go through the trouble of making this full game that's all about the personal story of each squadmate only to side line them in the next game. People that think otherwise are stupid, and most likely children with little life experience. LOL @ paying voice actors not being cost affective.

What is with people continually starting new threads about this topic, when perfectly good ones already exist (in which it has been discussed to death)?

Thread 1: 2 months old.
Thread 2: 2 months old.
Thread 3: 2 months old.
Thread 4: 2 months old but had a post 8 days ago.

So my logic... some time it better just to make a new one and start fresh then necro a old one no one will most likely post in not every thing need to go into old thread specially if there freaking 2 months old.

From what I heard, they're not touching the game engine. So basically, they'll have 2-3 years of nothing but level design and voice acting (and maybe a little bit of tweaking). And that's definitely not a bad thing. Plus, it's the end of the series, so they can go wild without worrying about the consequences. ME3 is going to be a good game...

They play too much Mass Effect and begin assuming Harbinger's logic as analogy to all of their reasons.
