I'll start with this one:

I was retracing my steps in the Deep Roads to make sure I didn't miss anything.  I see a piece of rubble, clicked on it for a note, which reads in part:

"Mass will have an effect...How's a dwarf get named Shepard?"

I liked listening to 2 un-named characters chatting behind the inn at Lake Calenhad, they were discussing some interesting philosophical questions which reminded me of something I enjoyed back in the early days of RPGs, can't remember what game it was though, but I think it was very similar dialog.

Lets see, without any spoilers, you have to rescue someone and they are dressed in a guard uniform and one of the dialog options is, "Arn't you a little short for a guard?"

Plenty of Gravestones with funny remarks in Haven, on the right side where the Guard is.(you might have to complete the urn quest first tho)

There's a note that is essentially a dwarven version of a famous Dr Seuss story (won't spoil it)

For old BG fans, you'll find Edwina tending an inn, and Casavir from NWN2 making an appearance though Casavir's role sadly this time is a bit peice.

In the wardens keep dlc you can see a list of wardens that defended the keep. some of the names are very funny and you should recognize a few.

Of overheard conversations--at the docks by the mage tower, there are two men discussing being the product of some invisible beings' imagination... they were quite outraged about it.

and I'm in the middle of the Human Noble Origin, and my little nephew started talking about fighting darkspawn with a "sword of truthiness"---a nod to Colbert? :D

One of my favorites was during the Crime Wave quest chain. When you do the very last breaking and entering quest to get that holy item from the estate.....if you stealth into one of the rooms towards the end you see the guard captain getting a BJ from a chick. That and the lil Enchanter Dwarf at endgame were my two favorite WTF LOL moments.

I'm amazed no one else has mentioned it. It's not precisely an easter egg, but still really funny. "Gather your party and go venturing forth?"

I couldn't keep a wide grin from my face when I first saw that, I must say.

How is it a easter egg?

is it a BG thing? :)

On one of the loading screens was a quote about "go for the eyes!" which made me grin, and brought back great memories of BG. :D

At the Main Gates in Denerim, before heading off to the final battle, I quite enjoyed when Shale told me to "have fun storming the castle".

Yeah, its one of the more annoying parts of BG when you sometimes had to have your party perfectly scrunched up on the exit to leave.  Otherwise the game would just spam "You must gather your party before venturing forth."

During the Arl Howe part of the pre landsmead quests, As my party was running down a hall you hear something to the effect, "Don't worry we won't get caught, no one is in this section during this time of day." I thought WTF is that? so I entered a room to see a guard without his leggings and a maid "kneeling before him." I couldn't stop laughing.  From the angle its presented as as you enter, yes it really does look like some adult activities are occuring.

Folks remembering the "philosophical debate" that occurs at the Lake Calenhad docks, are rememering the crazy old man in the market place of Secret of Evermore, where he claims that "we are under the control of our button pushing overlords!"

Bit of a thread necro, but what ever...

A book brought to me by my Hound. (codex entry 208)

"A Very Chewed and Moist Book

(much of this is illegible)

Day 42: I begin to suspect that we are being manipulated, as if by some unseen hand far above us. Always, I hear the sound of clicking. Click-Click. Click-Click."

In the Witch Hunt DLC there's a mage that poses a question to his fellow mage and asked "What kind of mage would want an owl as pet?" A reference to Harry Potter and Hedwig? Posted Image
