Just replayed the Samara loyalty mission. I was reminded of how emotionally moving this side story is. The Jack loyalty mission was pretty moving too. So what of the ME2 character missions struck a chord with you?

Hmm, ... I have to name Legion's Loyalty Mission.

Don't get me wrong, but I lost my ability (or merely the will) to get too emotional about humans (mankind). One could say I'm indifferent.

But since I don't know enough of the Geth to dislike them like us, I really had some thinking about what choice to make. I literally puzzled about what to do for about 13 Minutes (for real!), thinking of pro's and con's, morality, ethics and possible futures before I finally clicked the button.

I'm no mankind-hater or something like that, ... I just got tired of disappointments.

Tali & Thane's Loyalty Missions really did it for me.

But I'd say Bioware did a pretty good job of making all the Loyalty Missions emotionally moving.

I second that. The Missions are great, each of them! Great Job Bioware!

Legion's loyalty mission was a close second for me. It too was somewhat of a moral dilemma.

Funny, here I was thinking I would be the only one.

Tali's mission was the only "emotionally engaging" mission in the entire game, which based on the hype from Dr. Ray pre-release definitely counts as fail.

Tali's, Thane's and Miranda's at the end were emotionally engaging for me. But Tali's was by far the most. But I found most of the loyalty missions to be engaging, if not always emotionally engaging

No, because the thread only asks which you found most moving, it doesn't ask you to explain the story of the Loyalty Mission or why.

None of them. I thought most of them were sort of lame from a story point.

Pretty much all of them were moving in some way, it depends on what affects you as a person more. For me Samara, Legion, Jack.

I can understand how someone would find Samara and Jacks' loyalty mission emotional but not Legion.
I demand this is explained.

There are too many crew members in ME2 and some left overs from ME1 and that means that most will get a cameo in ME3. So, I didn't attach myself to them. The shallow conversations on the Normandy didn't help either. In the end I got indifferent about the missions involving them. Felt much like grinding: 10 recruitment missions and 12 loyalty missions. And most have no relation to the main story. It's just too much. That doesn't mean that none of the missions are any good, but I just shut off the emotions.
