If were going strictly by resource use only, why was Garrus killed? He is Dextro and therefore doesn't need the food we eat. Also, just for the record, I wanted him dead since he killed Tali.

Samara should have gone on a killing spree since the first death because of her code. Jacob was voted for nothing. Killing Samara first was the most logical solution. But people want their LI to live instead of using their brains and make good choices, since Shepard has to survive in order to save the galaxy.
Also, some seem to forget that Shepard is just Shepard, not everyone plays Shepard as a dude to keep a chick around. And...for sexual relief you don't always need someone. But these are just details no one bothers with because LI must survive "Oh no...I am all alone and didn't get laid since the destruction of the first Normandy...boo hoo hoo."

Ok you can either be stuck on an island with some annoying guy and your right hand or some chick and your right hand, that way the option is always there.

Of the people left I feel that Kaiden/Liara should go due to their biotic calorie consumption. But Liara moreso due to her being the least useful in surviving.
