The Shadow Broker is most likely a salarian, which is the successor of the "Ever Alert" Kirrahe mentioned in his quite epic speech. Either that or an AI built by said legendary salarian.

Fifty bucks says it's Commander Rentola, Kirrahe's second in comand.

Salarians would make sense, maybe the League of One that "disappeared" after being disbanded? Of course Salarians don't live long so it would have to be someone else now.

I really hope Bioware doesn't do the whole small world thing and make everyone's story interrelated, i don't wanna go into ME3 only to find out someone I've met is the shadow broker, or maybe the reapers are the shadow broker, using information to get us to develop along their desired paths... or Samara is Liara's father. Aria being Aleena would be alright i guess, she's not integral to the plot.

The Shadow Broker is the Volus trader, you meet in the Upper Markets on the Citadel, in ME1. He knows, you will be going to Feros and Noveria even before you do! It is totally obvious...

I still think that the shadow broker is the asari consort on the citadel.

That makes a creepy kinda sense. She is reported to packing up work on the citadel due to bad press and numerous securty leaks. Plus she is in the best place to keep an eye on the enemy, The Council.

... And disappears around the same time Liara starts trying to hunt down the Shadow Broker and the Collectors appear in the galaxy en masse.

Hmmmmm? HMMMMMMM?

I dont think Samara is the mother of Liara cause then Liara will had the same sickness
as Morith had i guess ... Posted Image

If i'm not mistaken (which i very well could be) the genetic disease is only passed down through the mother since asari don't actually take genetic code from the father, only use it to randomize their child's genetic code. The game tells us this a few times so i hope it doesn't turn out that samara is liara's father >_>

salarians don't make sense because they die in a couple of decades. this works if the shadow broker is a relatively recent presence in the galaxy. assuming the shadow broker is an older presence, i would say that makes salarians unlikely.

without knowing much about how long the shadow broker has been around, i think asari are more likely. they are long lived and they are meddlers. they love to meddle and i can absolutely see a small group of asari thinking they need to pull strings and control the galaxy.

I always thought that was so weird. The whole exchange was bizarre.

"Oh, hello, human. I expect you're here to purchase supplies for your return to the colonies?"

"What colonies are you talking about?"

"Oh - uh, my mistake, human! I assumed... but never mind. What can I get you?"

And then they never went back to it. Kind of bugged me.

The only way the Illusive Man could be the Shadow Broker is if he has split personality disorder.

We should be discussing if he has split personality disorder.

I vote one of his other personalities is a gay hair dresser named Chuno and also a military officer by the name of Admiral Hackett.

That would be really cool. In Mass Effect 2 I do believe you never hear Hackett in the entire game, if you do then it was only once or twice and I forget if he did. The only way I do believe he does contact you is by email. Going by this then, threw the events of ME2 you are able to, well sort of able to talk with TIM one on one, person to perso... hologram. Again In ME2, I'll say "harder to reach" or "talk to" Hackett because you're only able to talk by email let alone hearing his voice.

When I try to post good ideas, they are passed over or laughed off as jokes. :(

When I try to make jokes, they are hailed as good ideas.

I give up on the internet. I am confused and overwhelmed. I have control over nothing. Nothing.

Liara succeeds in her quest.

Shadow Broker: "Liara, join me and we will rule the universe!"

Liara: NO!

Shadow Broker: "Liara, I am your father"

Liara: "I'll never join you"

Shadow Broker: "OK, then I'll recruit your sister Aria."

Aria is from the matrix so don't be surprised if she kill you with a ninja kick to the face. If you don't understand my reference do more research on voice actresses.

Page flipping error/dirty buffer. If it is ever patched and you play the same area, you'll probably find out it was supposed to be a lot brighter.

I saw the same artifact as well as a similar one on Garrus' "Get Fade" mission.

Aria/Aleena thing is possible. But if TIM was the Shadow Broker what would be the point of taking Shepard's body back when he already had it.
