I LOVE U BIOWARE. FINALLY I HAVE ACHIEVED MY PERFECT class.... well thank u for doing most of the work... I just had to fix all ur crappy work with powers.

wooooooooooot. sigh just needed to say that. thank u all modding people LOVE U.

well to be honest is 90% perfect... all I need is for us to find cooldown codes for combat powers.... like concussive shot and the like... just figured out all this awesome 4 sec cooldown... doesn't apply to grunt or zaeed.... or my soldiers adrenaline rush..... I want that rush to last 8 secs... thats my goal, woooot :P

well in anycase, almost there almost there

Is there a definitive understanding of what difficulty setting 6 in Gibbed actually does? I've played around with it briefly and thought it was a dev setting where enemies took no damage - but I have read elsewhere that they do take damage in this setting but they just have tons and tons of health and shields?

I'm wondering - with what is now known about hex editing upgrades and eliminating cooldowns - if an extremely difficult, (but still doable and enjoyable) setting could be manually created in the hex based on difficulty 6. A new super hard difficulty setting (that didn't involve constantly waiting for cooldowns and health regeneration) might get me into this game again. So what's the deal with difficulty setting 6

Very very very very hard. Inferno ammo is a blessing there. I managed to kill 2 vorcha... but their blasted regen is a pain. For weird reasons it onyl droped a bit of hp then it burned.... duno why

Well, according to partialy decompiled game files in difficulty level 6 (compared to insanity):
- Player and squadmates have less HP
- Enemies have a lot more HP (mutliplier is 10000, while insanity has 1,975)
- Enemies aim better
- Enemies have decreased shield bonus (from 150 to 0,65)
- Enemy power cooldown and squadmates power duration are decreased
+ some other weird changes (bleed out interval and breach duration?)

I have no interest in this difficulty myself so I doubt I'll ever care enough to test it myself but have you tried exploiting instant kill opportunities to see if they work? Things like overload on flamethrower carying vorcha and such.

Beyond that looking at what Epic Legion wrote above it seems to me like this was difficulty was made for testing weaknesses and such.....seeing as nothing else would give you a chance to kill or signifficantly damage enemies.....it's obviously never been meant as something that they expected player to face.

no I never tested it on insta kills like them. Barely got through a 2 vorcha :P. But nah not going to try it though, wish enemies used powers though more often. Is there any in hex you know that can trigger that? like more power used more often...

BTW HAPPY NEW YEAR

I have found that R=0 G=1 B=1 gets you a slightly brigter light blue that is similar to TIM's eyes but since I like them to glow I crack it up to R=0 G=3 B=3 which is still the same light blue but glows very bright. So if you want it to glow less try playing with G & B by placing both beneath 1 but keep them equal and see what happens or if you think they're too dim put G & B up just keep them equal.

Also Happy New Year!!

thanks ima try em out. Tried something last to see if I could get a nice orange... and turned out to damn golden eyes.... so weird.

btw do you know how to make a certain color brither... for some reason I go into google for color wheels, and whenever I try to just up things a  bit, but diving the number I want by 255.... the thing gets dimmer instead of going up. The A is on 3... its been on 1 to 5 and still.

Found a nice Orange copper like color that I wished it just shined a bit more and nuthin.

Still update on upgrades:
Found, and tested it twice... though it takes a while to do the testing so was only twice... not 100% sure this is a fact BUT:
When I bumped the upgrades to something like  10/10 or 20/20. I was unable to pick up any upgrades whatsoever... not sure why, but you explained that is what happens when you mess with hex like that.

Now for some reason I lower the upgrade count to just one below... and I am able to pick up upgrades again.... this is weird I dont know.

I had sniper rifle to 15/15 then placed it to 10/10.... suddenly I am able to pick up sniper upgrades again related to dmg.

Same thing happended with biotic dmg, assault rifle dmg, and shotgun dmg.

I placed the upgrades  of shotgun from 10/10 to 7/7, and in Purgatory was able o pick up the improvise weapons the inmates used.

On Grunt's recruitment I had sniper from 15/15 and palced it in 10/10... I was able to pick up the sniper upgrade about half way of the level.

Last on grunt's mission I had biotic dmg from 10/10 I placed it in 7/7 and still was able to pick up the upgrade in okeer's lab.

Dont know why this happen.... a bit annoying to be honest because now my guy is getting stronger than I want him too... I had a nice thing going so. For some reason pumping the upgrades, playing the game, the going back to hex and setting em down allows u to still pick up upgrades.... now is it because you tricked the game into thinking there is a new "max" of upgrades duno.... but since now my sniper has 11/11 kind a weird.

Still, if anyone ever finds a hex number to lower the cooldown of combat powers woudl be great... because now Zaeed and Grunt have been rendered useless :P now that everyone has 4-6 recharge time no matter the power.... except drone.

The game keeps track of DMG upgrades up to 10.....from a to j and that's where the game's mechanics stop recognizing upgrades.....there is no k so 10 is the limit of number of upgrades the game will let you pick up. It looks like the devs gave themselves room to take the numbered upgrades to 10/10 via DLC. Don't know why the game let you pick up an upgrade for something that was already 10/10......are you certain you didn't got to 9/9 or something? All the rest make sense.

no idea man... I had my smg and yes that is just 6/6 now is 7/7... so that would make sense... but the sniper and others are bugging me for some reason. still I just changed them all back to normal values. Everything I would have gather I inputed the value +1 just in case.. so instead of having 10 or something is just w/e I would have normally picked up plus a 1 upgrade boost. Gona try again though. I am going to put the biotic dmg to 10/10 and do the Grunt Recruitment mission again to see if I can pick up the biotic dmg in okeer's lab terminal.

Okeer's lab contains a Krogan upgrade, one of the 2 in the game, not biotic damage.

Haven't heard about any such thing so this is news to me. If you know of a thread or have a link to what you're talking about I'd appreciate it.

I haven't been as active on these forums lately....barely active here and there. Still it's neat....useful I guess but seeing as I'm not going to buy the PC version of any Mass Effect games I'll never get to actually make use of it or see how well it works. There isn't much feedback I can give here so the best thing is to watch that thread and see what the people using it say.

We'll have to see if any of the mods not possible on the 360 actually stick when transfering the save like the Fallout games and such. Worth keeping an eye on I suppose.

everything I wanted is mostly done on hex or gibbed.

The only things left to really do are:
1- Reduce cooldowns of combat powers by 40%
2- Increase Duration of COmbat powers by 60%
and last but not least
3- Change some clothing colors

thats about it. Thanks to you I am prolly 90% to my perfect version of ME2.... and thanks to many others :P

in pc can they give squadies differen't costumes??? like give miranda....Ashleys or... asari commando armor? change the color to black and orange and would look sweet... instead of watching her....w/e her suit is called

PS: thanks to the TIM eye ide au gave me of tweaking numbers but keeping em in the same ratio I finally got my perfect eye color thanks a bunch.

B0.07730203
G0.195123181
R0.951747239

color is the same as the loading screen orange... :P:wizard::P

This is what always happened in my games too.  You can set the upgrades to whatever you want in the hex 25/25 or 40/40 or whatever and they will work (there's probably an upper limit somewhere though). But as soon as you pass 10/10 you can't pick them up in game anymore.  Strange if you've managed to change that in some way.

Spartas you've been into this game for a while - don't you ever get bored playing?  I kinda follow along here but it's been a while since I actually played and got into it.  We need some DLC or something.

I know what you mean. I've got a Sentinel playthrough to finish, but aside from dabbling in ME2 once or twice in the past month, I really haven't gotten into it.

Same thing with me, I have a soldier a few hours in I haven't really touched. Although I did grab some dlc a few days ago when they had the boxing week sale on xbl got overlord for 200 points so figured why not. Might be time to start an overpowered shep for fun and to do the dlc.

hehehehe. I do get bored. I got bored a couple months ago remember. About the time when the shadow broker DLC came out... Since then I bought used games at gamestop and returned them at 7 days so they are free for the follwoing months... played many many games. From anything like Sniper army of two 40th day.... to recent Tron Evolution (game sucks btw)... now that I ran out of games, it coincided with ME3 trailer so the hype came back. Thats about when I came back and asked whether something new came out. And found out  u guys had hex now so. Prolly it will last a month two of hype.

if we find ways to add powers.... well that will probably last even more. But for now love my sentinel.

You can trick the game into it but it won't play normally as femshep doesn't have the voicefiles for responding to Miranda romance dialogue. What you can do is play as a male and romance the female of your choice(Miranda, Tali or Jack) until you are about to launch the suicide mission but before going through the Omega 4 relay change your maleshep's gender in gibbed's.....and be sure to have a female appearence(obtained by exporting it from an actual femshep save file) ready to import onto that maleshep or it won't come out right. If done correctly when you load the save you'll now be female and when you launch the suicide mission the romance will still play out with the female you were romancing before you changed your shep's gender. The down side is that your femshep will be mute during the final conversation....subtitles and the dialogue wheel will pop up as they should but femshep won't be talking as no dialogue was recorded for her to romance any of the females.....and you may encouter problems if you try to import this into ME3.
