Can anyone help me with a few problems I'm having? I've gave myself lots of ammo but whenever i pick up a thermal clip, the ammo count is reset. Any way around this? Also, i removed my heavy weapon (blackstorm) from both the loadout and weapon lists, as i never use it. However, i find in game that i always end up just being equipped with the standard grenade launcher. Any way to remove the whole class without hex editing? That stuff is way beyond my level right now.
Nice work btw
How much ammo did you give yourself? I think the quantity may be your problem. I had no issues with 999999 but if you try to go into millions or tens of millions that may be a problem. As for removing the heavy weapon you have to overwrite it in the save file with a weapon of a class you don't have. So if you're playing as a soldier for example then replacing the heavy weapon with an SMG in gibbed's should do the trick. But these aren't permanent.....if you pick up a heavy weapon during a mission(Horizon) then you'll have to mod again afterwards, likewise certain situations will also reset your ammo......Kasumi's mission will reset your ammo and the 8 pannels you need to activate at the start of the suicide mission will all reset your ammo. Also if you fail to pick up a weapon during a mission it will likely be forced in your inventory later on which will also reset your ammo however if you pick up all the weapons during the missions you find them in this will NOT reset your ammo......only if they're forced in your inventory by the game.
Yeah ill try that. i gave myself 10000 rounds (thermal bullets? LOL) for each gun, as when i used the max setting (9999999) my shep would reload the gun, only to still have 0 bullets in the thermal clip. i don't mind putting the ammo back at the parts of the game you said, but it's always when i actually retrieve a clip that was placed there, or from a fallen enemy. It also happens with medi-gel, i give myself 100 but it resets when i use a medi-gel cabinet. I don't need the medi-gel, but as both the ammo and gel are having the same problem i thought it would help. Thanks for the help, i can finally remove my heavy weapon now
if you give yourself ammo via hex editor they will always remain high no matter the weapon you pick up or the weapon you change.
Example: Since the beginning of the game I gave myself 15000 rifle rounds. Picked up the vindicator, the revenant, I've changed to avenger and to mattock and I still got well over 9000 still unused.
Same for everything else
The only only Time the Ammo resetted for some reason was after In Kasumi's loyalty . Since you have to go into the security room and fight with a small pistol... that semed to mess me up.
So for the previous statements. No for me Ammo has not resetted aside rom kasumi's Loyalty mission if they are done through Hex Editing.
how to do hex editing on it. very very simple.
-Equip the avenger easiest to find, its 400 rounds
-go into hex and find the number 400 but in its hex coding of course.
-before you change it go back into gibb and check the next weapon you got in the little gibb window. Lets say is the shotgun with 31 rounds.
-If is the shotgun just look for the number 31 in hex coding.
If the 31 is only a couple or two lines away from the 400, then you found the weaponry ammo.
Still to be double sure check the weapon below number 2 in gibb, might be pistol, or rifle I duno. Do this with all weapons except the heavy, if they are all a couple of lines away from each other, those are the ones.
I changed those numbers, and they never reset unless I go into kasumi's. Which I actually do her mission before hexing so it never again resets.
Thanks for the help, i've managed to locate the ammo numbers in the hex editor, any idea what i should change them to to give myself...say the same amount of ammo as you? Do i just find the hex value for the amount of ammo i want, then put that in place of what is there?
