How to mod ME2 for the Xbox 360 - updated 5/3/2011-

I have a question: Is it possible to use Gibbed to map squadmate powers to your buttons? For example, If I wanted Miranda to help me set up a Warp bomb, can I bind her Warp to RB/LB? I don't like pausing to use the power wheel unless absolutely necessary, so this would be a big help to me.

"The head morph you are importing has a different version (486539264) than your current save file (29).
Import anyway?"
And than I'll import it anyways and I'll get an error notice. I don't bother going on from there cause I know just be saving a corrupted save file.
Can someone help?

Thank you very much for the helpful guide, everything has worked perfectly well for me so far.

Actually this is possible in-game. Simply open the power wheel and hover over the squad power you want to use and press X. The power will then be assigned to that character's D-pad directional button, so instead of pressing that character's D-pad button to attack an enemy, they'll use the mapped skill first, and then attack.

Does anyone know if there is any way to take a save from masseffectsaves.com and port it to your xbox and then use that as your import for me2? That would save a lotta replay time.
Ty in advance for any answer.
The search function is a sad, neglected puppy... :'(
But no, you cannot. Maybe lets us know what you are looking for, and one of the nice folks here might be willing to lend you theirs.

That's because the head you're importing was created using a later version of Gibbed's for the PC version. Only heads created in the Xbox version of Gibbed's will work with the Xbox version. Yet another sad pitfall of console gaming.

Create a new character, save it and use gibbed to give yourself the ME1 history you want and change end game state to "lived to fight another day". You can then use this for a new game plus import and your new ME1 history will apply without having to play through anything other than the Normandy's destruction twice.

Sorry if it's been asked to death, but reading through 105 pages seems pretty daunting and I didn't get anything helpful with the search function.
Thanks.

Because I tried this one http://www.tikandero...ra/AshShep2.jpg
Everything worked but except for the hair texture it was white, I was wondering can I like try a different hairstyle to go with the Ashley look for example like the cyberbabe hair
by the way this is the codes:
5. Open Savegame in the editor, click Raw tab and (for hair)...
2. Squad > Player > Appearance > Morph Head : Hair Mesh
BIOG_HMF_HIR_PRO.Ashley.HMF_HIR_PROAshley_MDL
2. Squad > Player > Appearance > Morph Head > Texture Parameters
HAIR_Diff = BIOG_HMF_HIR_PRO.Ashley.HMF_HIR_PROAshley_Diff
HAIR_Norm = BIOG_HMF_HIR_PRO.Ashley.HMF_HIR_PROAshley_Norm
HAIR_Mask = BIOG_HMF_HIR_PRO.Ashley.HMF_HIR_PROAshley_Mask
HAIR_Tang = BIOG_HMF_HIR_PRO.Ashley.HMF_HIR_PROAshley_Tang
6. (for face tex)
2. Squad > Player > Appearance > Morph Head > Texture Parameters
HED_Scalp_Diff = BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.PROAshley.HMF_HED_PROAshley_Scalp_Stack
HED_Scalp_Norm = BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.PROAshley.HMF_HED_PROAshley_Scalp_Norm_Stack

How can I put Miranda's Outfit on the Xbox 360 version, like where do I go on Mass Effect 2 save Editor?
You can't. That can only be done on the pc because it involves editing the coalesced.ini file.

I've been skimming through this thread (all 105 pages!) but wondered if anyone could sum up what *CAN* be modified on the 360 version of ME2 with Gibbed (or any other tools?); at least in so far as we know right now. E.G. stats, money, paragon/renegade points, resources, etc. Originally I came here in search of a way to possibly add custom/alternate clothing-or-armor for Shepard... but so far it looks like the latter is only possible on the PC version.
Not a problem, I'll see if I can cover it.
With Gibbed's you can change;
Name, class, Level, Sex, Talent Points, Credits, Resources, Head Morph (face) and add the Illusive mans eyes and custom hair.
You can change your squads talent points and "force" (overwrite) different weapons for them (or yourself) even going so far as giving Miri a mini-gun, which is nice. You can also change loyalty.
You can change (or create) your ME1 history but you have to create a game complete save to use for a NG+ import, as described in my last post (page 105).
You can add an extra "bonus" power - strictly speaking you can add 3 or 4, but one is straightforward (as discussed around pages 80-90 iirc).
With Hex editting you can change;
Weapon training and the number upgrades (most shown on the op, other wise as per Nu Titan on page 99). With this you can give your vanguard a widow with 10 damage upgrades and, i think, although not tried it, 10 cooldown upgrades. This is much more complicated than using gibbed, but it's not really that hard to get to grips with given some patience.
I'm sure I've missed something, but this covers the big stuff.

Is there any way to change the name of your save file?
For example, I do a ME1 runthrough for a character called 'Jane'.
After a few plays of ME2 I want to change my class, etc. and decide to keep the same background, history etc. but call my character, say, 'Mary'.
I can change the name to 'Mary' using Gibbed, and it says this in the ME2 game, but my save file reads 'Jane' still, and it gets confusing. As I want to try all the classes and keep seperate save files, is there any way to do this and change the name of my save file?

I think this works; Start a new game with your character, save and export to gibbed. change the name, etc. AND change end game status to "lived to fight another day". use this modded save to create a NG+ and the changes should be applied. Otherwise you create a character with the right name & class, export to gibbed, give the ME1 history you want then change end game status and use this as a NG+ import.

Also, another question please - when I
change Miranda and Jacob's loyalty outfits, the crew start talking about
the Collector Base. Is there any way to change the loyalty outfits
without affecting the storyline?
I've never noticed this happen before, sorry.

No problem. One thing I would suggest is keeping the "dummy" save to use as a basis for any other ME1 histories you want to try, just handy to have it around.

Two of my favourites are http://www.masseffec....php?faceID=614 and http://www.masseffec...php?faceID=1148 , although I'll admit, the second one is a bit more Playboy Playmate than badass Spectre.
