Hi guys I know this is not really about modding but if I change my gamertag does it mess up mass effect I read that the dlc is linked to your gamertag so you could lose it

If your just Renaming your GT all your DLC will be fine. If you created a new GT all your DLC will be linked to your old GT.

thanks guys yea I am going to use the xbox dashboard name changing thing just my gamertag has been giving away the fact I am a girl so I am getting so many weirdos that I think a name change is a good idea

Migg, try spelling none with all lower case letters - I definitely didn't have a cap at the beginning. I think that might do it. I chose the word none because I've seen the game autofill the field with that word in all lower case letters all on it's own before. I didn't think what word was in the field would matter but I guess it does. Let me know if that works or not for you.

Edit: I was on Korlus with Kasumi and Jack  and it worked the first time for both of them.

Tried the lower case thing, didn't work. I'm on omega in the archangel recruit mission. I can't figure out why it's not working. I'm using the newest modified version of gibbed, are you using a different one? I downloaded this one http://social.biowar...ect/4373/#files , r u using the old one?

Edit:
I tried using the original gibbed, didn't work either. I have no idea why this isn't working. Did u do anything else? Did u edit anything else on ur squadmates?

Can someone help me with removing heavy weapons? I've tried to do it like it says on the first page but every time I remove the heavy weapon from the Loadout and Weapons fields nothing happens, I still get a Grenade Launcher.

I'm not sure what it says on the first page but I've removed the heavy weapon in every game I've played since Gibbed was made compatible with the xbox, it's the most important mode mode to me since I can't stand the way it looks on the back of a fem shep.

I usually paste my pistol code over the heavy weapon code in the loadout section (but any available gun should work) and then in the weapons section I just delete the heavy weapon entry all together. This should remove the heavy weapon.  If it doesn't, and you're sure you did everything correctly, move a little further forward in the game and then try again.  Sometimes weapons mods just don't take even when you do them correctly,  My theory is that I  think sometimes the auto save overides the modded save but I have never figured out why it sometimes does this.

That's weird, no I didn't do anything else other than enter none in the fields you did.  Maybe it's Zaeed? I dunno,  I used the original Gibbed when I did the mode, not Pordis' new one.

I'm going to try this mod again in a few other places and report back.

Here is Jack and Miranda with no guns (arms outstretched) on Korlus by typing "none" into the weapons fields. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you Miggz..  I did it with Kasumi and Jack earlier too no problems there either.

I did his loyalty mission once without him - with Liara and Miranda - what's weird, well apart from Miranda rifle butting the gas valve and then having Zaeed switch to Liara before I punched her in the face, was at the end the cut scene didn't trigger but you could actually walk out that back door and explore.  Therer was the gunship you could walk around, a waterfall, Blue Suns soldiers waiting on some kind of transport vehicle who would just look at you as you walked by, a few different areas you could walk down to.  Of course you needed to mod Zaeed back in to end the mission but it was pretty weird walking around and exploring a cut scene - it was a fairly large area to walk around in.

See:

I think you have to be male to initiate the romance but can then change to female and continue it.

Advance the romance as male is all that is required.  I don't recall now if all but the final need to be male or not.  Possibly there are things that could be adjusted in Gibbed also---I never tried that.

If you want to play the game as femshep, r.t. as male and then switch at the end... the easiest I've found is to game save before talking to Miri/Tali/Jack.  If you find it is a conversation that would advance the romance (or if not sure), mod that save to be male shep and advance the romance, then mod back to femshep.

The final romance scene will proceed as femshep (although sometimes glitches such as no fem dialog recorded so subtitles are sometimes needed to read the femshep dialog).

I did have one game with Tali that kept glitching when we would walk into the engine core for privacy after modding to male.  I found that if I created a new unmodded male save in engineering before talking with her it seemed to proceed normally.

2)  You can change your eyes/colors in Gibbed...so I would guess a little experimentation will get you what you want.

4) There is a thread in here someplace that talks about limited use of DA uploads to change avatar---if it's not abused.  Let me see if I can locate it.

See the FAQ section:
How do I use one of my Dragon Age characters as my site avatar? You would first need to upload one of your characters to the site (see FAQ section "Dragon Age Player Data"). Once that is done, your DA character portraits will appear on your "Edit Profile" page beside the default portraits.

 Okay. I need help.

I'm following Darth_Trethon's instructions as closely as I can in order to do everything right.

I've gotten to step #12a.

Either there's missing information for USB users or I'm confused by it entirely.

Thank you for the guide but can you re-write step #12a? It's the only step confusing me.

Right now, I have the modded file that has all of the changes I want to happen when I play Mass Effect 2 - but it's numbered. But in order for the game to make any changes the file needs to be named (Ex: 'John_21_Soldier'. I can't put the file on my USB until it's named.

What do I do?

Also, the instructions on step 12a refer to a earlier step that apparently instructed me to click-and-drag a named file. I haven't click-and-dragged anything through this whole guide.

If I can just get this modded file to have a Name like it started out with then I can complete the guide.

Please help.

Yeah, it kinda spoils the flow of the game for me.
[edit:  But then Tali's voice tugs at the heart,  and that faceless face...sometimes it's just worth it :D
all told, I think there are about 3-4 times you would have to change gender to progress the romance]

both my da and da2 profil are there its only my me2 that isnt there

Oh. I was under the impression the DA stuff was added to the list of avatars you could choose from, and with the DA toolset I was thinking a person could get a Shep/arbitrary avatar uploaded to that list.

for the eyes ill try comparing a renegade texture list and a normal one

I'm not sure the texture list will reflect the changes the game makes for paragon/renegade.  But I have before changed scar color and eye color, but my character may have been a bit renegade also.

If you don't see any change in the textures, you might just try increasing the red in your existing eye color.

ho you mean it might be possible to add a shepface pick in the dao pick list

for the eye i realy have no idea i havent started yet but on the renegade pick the red comes fro the center off the eye its red instead of black

wen you mod you extract a numbered save file from the profile(Ex: 'John_21_Soldier') then wen your donne modding you put it back in the said profile then you put that said profile back on your usb drive

I'm 99% sure I saw that DAO has a char editor s.t. xbox users can also do this.  I'm hoping to eventually do this, but I haven't yet purchased DAO. [edit: Isn't it just the character creator downloadable from this site. Games->DAO->char creator?]

Not for editing the morphs that I'm aware of.  I've been kind of interested in this, but not made much progress yet.
There was a ref a few pages back about a web site mapping me2 codes to Gibbed values...let me look.

Here on social.bioware.com there is a menu: games->dao->character creator to download a program.  I was under the impression that xbox users could use that stand-alone character creator program to upload an avatar image the same as the pc users do. (I'm sure I saw a post from a bioware person referring to that same thread for xbox users.  If this still doesn't make sense I'll look harder for that xbox thread.)

c3pu wrote...

I'm not sure what Gibbed originally intended there, but I'm planning on putting items to make it easier to mod hair styles, add TIMs eyes, hair/skin/eye colors, etc.  I would like to add a head morph editor, but I'm not sure I can make anything that would be very useful. (I have been looking into it a bit though. Perhaps even export it in a format that other tools could work with?)
Note to bioware: You can save me all this trouble and make a lot of people happy by announcing some character editor download you plan to make available.
