I'm having problems modding the Locust to my soldier Shep (I've done Kasumi's LM and gotten the Carnifex); I paste the correct label in the weapon slot, but everytime I put the save back into my 360 the changes haven't taken effect.  Is there anything I might be doing wrong - also tried modding Jacob's pistol slot to a Vindicator, same issue.  Any criticism/ideas/steps appreciated!

If you want to use squadmates before you recruit them set them to "is selectable" (and nothing else) in Gibbed and they will be available for missions (the game might check the aquired box on it's own so when you eventually uncheck "is selectable"  uncheck the "aquired" box if the game checked it ) - other settings are hit and miss and will sometimes cause problems.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong - as it's been a long time since I was actively modding these scenarios - but I don't think you can use Mordin to get Mordin on the 360. I've done his loayalty mission with Liara and Miranda and that worked but I think the RM is a no go.

You can make any one of the later squadmates "selectable" for Mordin's RM and he will even have specific dialogue for Tali, Samara, and Thane at the lab.

I'm pretty sure you can't use Jack to get Jack on the 360 either but as Pordis already mentioned you can definitely use Legion to get Legion.  The other RMs are hit and miss - more miss if I remember correctly - on the 360.

I finally got my USB through the post and I've gone through the OP word for word, but I'm a bit confused on the last point.

I've saved my modded save into my folder on the desktop and injected it into the file contents tab on modio. Do I "save to device" then rehash and resign or rehash and resign, then save to device? Really don't want it to get corrupted.

Always always REHASH AND RESIGN and then after SAVE TO DEVICE

Yeah Skarwael, I'm still in the process of writing out a new OP

There are two slots that you have to paste the weapon codes onto.

LOADOUT and then under WEAPONS, an expandable window

Also, we've all forgotten to do it ourselves at some point - "Save to Device".

I gave my character 1000 ammo for guns but when it ran down to below the actual amount, shepard picked up a thermal clip and all the ammo amounts for the guns reset. Is there a way to permanently increase ammo?

Mod it into the tens of thousands. Even with Hex Editing, I think that it would only work on shotguns and SMGs, what with their ammo upgrades.

Which is why I keep it around 40-50,000 per weapon. More than enough to get through the entire game unless you really make an effort.

xD
If you actually do it, use the minigun or the Revenant will probably be easiest. Since this means no precision and intelligent fighting! Spraying and praying only!/shot
xD
Nah, but if you seriously manage to use 40,000 rounds on a single playthrough, consider me very impressed xD

*never actually used the minigun beyond Freedom's Progress.*
And then it ran out of ammo, and I just went back to my 20+ upgraded Widow. xD

Ok guys, the main FAQ and pics are up and all finished, let me know if I missed anything important. I'll be finishing the In depth FAQs on Google Docs on modding the particulars this evening

This won't harm you 360 in any way right?

Nope, not in any way at all. It's simply editing numbers on already existing data. It's not "injecting new material"

Oh thank goodness for that.  I'll try that out in a few days to see how it works

Looking very nice!  Thanks!

I would change one thing.  I would move or copy Smart Tip #1 (backup), earlier to where you show opening a career file in Modio.  At this point I would put a note something like this:

*Smart Tip:  If you have never made a backup of this career, click on [Show File] and Copy---do not move---the career file to your backup directory.  If your career is ever corrupted, you can use a copy of this career file, along with your game saves to recover.

Excellent work.  Again, thank you for all your effort.

[Edit:  make that 2 things.  Smart tip #2.  It makes it sound like Gibbed will create a face from the face code.  I don't think that's what you intended.]

No, you need to pay for DLC. This only mods the save, not the actual configuration files. And you can't get DLC from modding that either.
