Is there a way to unlock armor early? I know you can use the editor to equip any armor, but you still have to purchase it. There has to be some values that you can check in the hex since armor carries over between playthroughs.
Anyone know if this is possible?
I don't know. If anyone sees something other than coalesced.ini editing to do this, let me know.javierabegazo wrote...
I also, would love to figure this out. Is this possible with Hex Pordis?ZombieGambit wrote...

Could it be Modio just doesnt like my usb stick? All my saves are on this usb stick. When I Open from a Device though, Modio shows it as blank. Am I doing something wrong or could it just be the stick.

Unfortunately we cannot do that on xbox. On pc they edit files we don't have access to and run additional programs as I understand it. We are stuck with what can be changed in the save file only.Cheese of Borg wrote...
How would I get texture mods (such as new suits for tali) on my xbox?
It's always best to start with only a few changes until you get comfortable with it. A common mistake is forgetting to rehash/resign the career file, which would result in a corrupted file. I would suggest trying to recover from your backup copy---copy it and try putting it back unchanged, just to make sure your file removal/insertion methods are working properly.dienasty wrote...
Great thread. Helped a lot but I corrupted by original ME2 file and while I did make a back up, my .xbsav file won't show in my 360 but that's not the matter at hand.
This tool cannot read me1 files. Yes, you can mod many things if you save when Miranda is telling you to wake up.dienasty wrote...
I decided it would be easier to just create a new character but I don't have a ME1 file. Is there a way to import a ME1 character by this method? If not, can I just create a new ME2 character and mod it as quickly as possible or would that corrupt the game?

Which basically translates into what you have unlocked, what your face looks like, what weapons and powers you have, how much ammo there is; things like that.

Some things can be problematic if modded too early in the game.
See here and here, for some limitations regarding squadmates. IIRC some weapons mods may be problematic before Freedom's Progress.
What mods are you wanting to do?
Follow the OP google docs link Javier made for me1 history changes.dienasty wrote...
Nothing too drastic. I just want to change the canon backstory for ME2 as fast as possible.Pordis Shepard wrote...

I haven't personally had much luck with hats, etc. The best I've had is for a hat to show up in the squad screen (poorly---intersecting with the hair), but not in game. If anyone has had some success with this I'd like to know. I'm guessing one needs to set some special scalp/hair masks as for the mohawk.Cheezer wrote...
Hey, this might sound dumb, once again, but if you can mod hats onto your shepard what about other NPC headgear/helmets. It's hard to make time to get to this with work in my way, so I'm not able to do lots of experimenting with much more than weapons and stuff.
