No need to uninstall Genesis.
It works if you re-generate the whole save file (ie : John_22_Soldier_050311). Or at least, it worked for me (French game, I can't tell if this changes anything).



What do you mean by "re-generate" ?

I cant figure out how to make a chtr show up as a ME 1 import. I've done other mods an can make it show as a ME2 import, but not as an ME 1 import.

This doesn't work for me1 games and so it can't create me1 imports.  (A few posts back Epic Legion posted a link about a few hex edits for me1 credits and such.)

AFAIK all you can do for me1 is change the history for a ng (and only the me2 plot flags change the current game. me1 plot flags only change ng+).  See the OP, especially the link to Javier's google docs near the end of the OP for what you can do on xbox with this editor.

Hello all. Recently, I've been considering modding my ME2 games, but I'm concerned about any possible...repercussions. For example, has anybody here ever had any problems with their Xbox Live account being suspended, or the like?

I like the idea of being able to play through the game without having to scavenge for Paragon/Renegade points, resources and such, but if it's against one of Microsoft's policies, I'm just not sure it's worth getting my account suspended over.

No, seeing as you are not modding your XBox itself, nor are you modding anything that has an effect beyond your own personal single player enjoyment; you cannot be banned as per Microsoft's policies at this point in time. You're fine, don't worry about it xD

Sorry, i didnt explain it correctly at first.  I'm not trying to edit an ME 1 save.  In the google doc, Changing Shepards class, it says:

You can change your class at any time BUT if you already took the bonus weapon class or weapon from the collectr ship and your new class doesn't have access to that weapon/class you WILL loose it and NOT be able to select again in future playthroughs upon importing the character. So I recommend creating a new adept with the ME1 save import and then mod what you want there.


I was trying to figure out how to make a chtr behave as an importable ME 1 chtr.  But I just realized I could just use any ME1 save to make this 'dummy' chtr.

Hi guys I downloaded a save from me2saves I worked out how to load it up on the xbox thanks to pordis thing is it was a female Shepard with Miranda as her li

my question is how do I get Miranda as a fem sheps li on a new game

See my post here back on p119.  Basically, you have to be mshep to advance the romance (at least to get the dialog..I guess you *could* mod the save file near the end, but what's the point of that?).  The 2 ways I have heard people do it is:
  • play as mshep and mod near the end to play out the romance scene as femshep
  • mod to mshep before choosing the dialog to advance the romance (about 3-4 times IIRC).

[Edit. Didn't make sense.]Personally, I figure prefer 2, since 1 seems nothing more than voyeurism (and I can watch youtube for that :P) since by the end I'm attached to mshep *not* femshep.  So I go to the extra trouble of multiple mods, so I can attach to the character I'm playing.  YMMV

(Confirmed with the submitter that they used a workaround to do a Miranda romance with a female character.)

i have no knowledge of someone who got suspended for doing such a thing BUT be carefull with achievement cause they dont like people messing around with them i personally got 2 or 3 with a moded save was not intentional though not like they care and didnt get in trouble but i wouldnt push my luck by getting a lot more

What do you mean by "re-generate" ?


By "re-generate" the save I was talking about creating a whole new save file. THe big one, the container.
The one named Stephane_12_Franctireur_030411 (that's a french name, but you see what I mean).
If I just and only add a save002.xbsav to this container, rehash and resign, and load it, it won't work. 
If I add a save002.xbsav to this container, upload this newly made container to my USB, hash, sign, and load, NOW it'll work.
Can't tell you why it doesn't when only adding one file. It has to be a whole new "save".

Everything works great when it works, though. Maybe the french game is a little bit different.

I have downloaded 2 saves from masseffect2saves but they are both called autosave will one career in game be ok with 2 or will it have problems

The career will only allow one file with the save same name, but autosave is just the game's resume file.  You can safely rename it to e.g. Save_0001.xbsav when you inject it into the career file with Modio (or equiv).

Sorry for the double post but i just tried doing this again and the way i understood it and applied it i only ended up getting the arc projector and the geth shotgun so does that mean i placed the other weapons in the wrong spot :( i edited 5 machine gun, shotgun,heavy pistol,sniper,and heavy weapon if anyone has XBL Send me a pm and teamview me please :)

it is a new save right where the doctor is when u first enter the big area(that way i check if it worked) and it is working only 2 out of 5 i tried modding separate weapons but no luck do u have team viewer or xbox javier because if u do  i would really appreciate assistance:)

By fresh, I mean an unmodded file, that loads properly. so that you get used to the modding process. Just try getting one weapon right, to confirm you know where the codes go

alright first of all it is a unmoded save right after the normandy trough the guard to the med clinic entrance and what i am trying to do is take a revenant machine gun. also when i load my save in the editor the loadout is empty where it sayes unknown 1-6 i am replacing the machine gun i have curently ie the avenger for the soldier first weapon u start with then replacing the   code then put the full name of the revenant in the 1st slot and 2nd slot of the unknown area   because the 1st one does not work basicly i have made 5 males and females who are 1 of each class and i was going to mod each diffrently (appearence and powers wise) but weapons diffrently but long story short if someone has team viewer let me know because if u do then we can open notepad and talk there but this is really starting to make me sad..:( any help would be appreciated :)

Sorry, this has been a busy w/e for me.  If no one else can help, I should be able to look into it tomorrow.  Just so I understand, this is just after you get the sr2 and you arrive at citadel.   I'll try that mod tomorrow and let you know what I get.

Divide R/G/B by 255, for example:

205-175-149 = 0,803-0,686-0,584
