I found this color chart so I change the hair colors and stuff

http://www.tayloredmktg.com/rgb/

can anyone help me out with how do I change the rgb code into something that can be put into the abgr in textures in gibbed

Divide R/G/B by 255, for example:

205-175-149 = 0,803-0,686-0,584

ok now I get where I was messing up I was adding 205 175 149 then divideing it by 255 lol

so if blue is 0-0-205 then its 0-0-0.803

Sorry, this has been a busy w/e for me.  If no one else can help, I should be able to look into it tomorrow.  Just so I understand, this is just after you get the sr2 and you arrive at citadel omega.   I'll try that mod tomorrow and let you know what I get.

Obviously you meant Omega---I was thinking me1...
Okay, I took a clean Infiltrator save and played 'til after getting sr2.  I went to armory on sr2 and had following available:
  • Sniper: M92 Mantis, M29 Incisor
  • SMG: M4 Shuriken
  • Pistol: M3 Predator, M5 Phalanx
  • Heavy: M100 Grenade, M490 Blackstorm, Arc Projector
In Gibbed I had weapons collection:
  • 0: SniperRifle
  • 1: AutoPistol
  • 2: HeavyPistol
  • 3:GrenadeLauncher
and loadout:
  • 1-5: empty
  • 6: GrenadeLauncher
I then performed the following mod:  In player->skills/upgrade tab I set weap bonus->AR training = 1, and Revenant = 2.

The armory then had AR weapons available: M8 Avenger, M76 Revenant, Collector AR, and M96 Mattock
I selected the Revenant and saved.  In Gibbed I had weapons collection:
  • 0: MachineGun
  • others same just shifted down 1 spot
and loadout:
  • 1: MachineGun
  • 2: ShotGun
  • 3: SniperRifle
  • 4: AutoPistol
  • 5: HeavyPistol
  • 6: GrenadeLauncher

Can someone help theGreatWall?  I haven't done anything with squad weapons mods myself, and I guess he/she doesn't have a registered game to post here.  Here is the question:

theGreatWall wrote:

I have done a ton of modding in the game, and am even an expert at modding Mass Effect 1, but for the life of me can't figure out the instructions for modding the weapons.

All I want to do is change Jacob from pistol to Assault Rifle, and remove my Shepherd's pistol and replace it with the heavy weapon.

I have followed the instructions to the letter, but still can't get it. Can you please help? Thanks!

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering whether or not I could accidentally make an achievement pop while using the editors.

Let me outline my situation; I played ME1 as a full Paragon on the PC, but have jumped onto ME2 on the 360.  I'm tired of the default storyline, and the Genesis comic doesn't give me enough options to get 'my' game back.

I'm interested in using the savegame editor to flag all the appropriate ME1 statuses; however, I understand for that to take effect I would then have to start a NG+ with that information.  The last thing I would want to do is tick the 'Suicide mission complete' box in order to do that, and have that pop the relevant achievement the next time i start the game - my intention is to get my world back, not mess around with that kind of stuff.

Can anyone confirm whether or not that would pop the achievement?  Is there a way to create a ME1 save I could then just import?  Sorry for throwing noob questions your way; I've read the google documentation but couldn't find anywhere asking about the achievement popping, so I guess most people are using the tool on playthroughs other than their first :)

You change "Endgame Status" to "Lived to fight another day" to allow you to import as a NG+.  This will not give you any achievements as they are unlocked at the end of the game NOT when creating a NG+.  You may get the "played ME2 twice or once with a ME1 import" when you finish, but, to be fair that's what you're doing isn't it?

@Adahn82 Additionally, the me2 plot flags that Epic Legion added will take effect on the *current* game, if they give you what you want to change. This allows you to fix the Conrad Verner bug as well.

Edit:  There is also a me2 pc demo---don't know if it will let you import an me1 game, but if it will you could used the Modified Gibbed to transfer to xbox me2 (after you have me2 pc save).  There are also masseffect2saves.com which may or may not have a starting me2 save you could use?

Thanks to both Mark B and Pordis Shepard.
I'm amazed that I didn't think of the option that PS suggested; I've dug out a save preceeded by 'char' that I presume is my ME1 final save (dated 16/11/2009!) and am getting a friend with ME2 on the PC to import and start a game for me.  I'm presuming the conversion process is simples, otherwise I'll be bothering you fine chaps again :D

Yes the 'char' files are the me1.  The conversion of me2 saves is just a matter of reading in pcsav and writing out xbsav (use the appropriate file extension in mod Gibbed).  The only additional change with me2 is they put the saves in an xbox career container, so you need to extract/insert saves into that container.  Javier's re-written OP in this forum should tell you all you need to know.  His google-docs link in the OP is a great tut if you end up wanting to mod the save.

btw
If don't want to use Gibbed... Epic Legion has an on-line tool you can use to change plot flags, head morphs, and convert xbox <->pc as well.  See his forum here, the OP has a link to his tool.

Sorry, I'm not really sure of the limitations of the plot flags... you might check Epic Legion's forum or the pc modding forum for game limitations (since the pc plot mods should have the same limitations, I think).

It should work, but i'm not (obviously) sure how that will affect ME3 import.

Ok, this is driving me crazy. I keeps seeing post and documents describing how to mod faces and hair via Gibbed's xbox360 save game editor. I've used Gibbed's quite a bit recently. However, when I click on Appeareance>Morph Head there's no box to clcik on to expand NOTHING happens. I can do it with the PC Gibbed editor rev. 25. I'm using Gibbed version for xbox r1b7. Is there a newqer version? Am I missing something? Any help would be much appreciated!

-Nevermind I figured out what the problem is.

Question? - Does modding Liara's stats (LOTSB) cause problems or corruption later?

According to this post, it sounds like the super gun upgrades the current weapon maybe? Anyone tried this to confirm?

@mog22wai: I've not tried modding Liara in LOTSB, but I would think it would be okay.

Haven't been on here in a long time, almost a year. Have we found out how to mod the casual clothing for Shepard yet on the 360? Or is that impossible?

@Pordis Firstly, fantastic work with your modifications to Gibbed's editor. It's a massive time saver when working with PC and 360 saves, so a huge thank you for that. On to my main question, would it be possible to export the LOD0 and Bone Offset x, y and z values from save files?

Ideally there would be some form of on-the-fly face editing within the Gibbed editor, but as of now, being able to export values, manipulate them as 3D data, and then re-import them to the game would mean it'd be possible to completely customize a Shepard's appearance relatively easily.

Also, to anybody who can shed any light on accessories, I know the 360 version of the game doesn't automatically load textures for hats, glasses etc. like the PC does, but is it known why it doesn't? Along the same lines, is there any way - apart from adding accessories in place of hair - to get the meshes to show up in the game rather than only on the squad screen?

I'm no expert on the modding. But since this forum has been a bit slow since me3 excitement... Did you look over Javier's google-docs tut (link is in OP near the end). I think I remember people mentioning this issue before, but I don't recall exactly what it was. :(

@Haus of Dye
Still no improvement on clothing for console I'm afraid.

@Another Dave
If you have some skills in the area, I'll be happy to work with you to get what you need out of the save file. I see a couple of problems customising though: 1) I'm sure there are constraints on the head mesh and we don't know what those are. (E.g. diff between male/female render them incompatible.) 2) I can imagine there are animation problems if the mesh and underlying bones don't match properly.

At one time I was intending to work on this a bit. You *can* export the LOD0 mesh, and I got it to import into a 3D program at one time, but without textures of course. If you can give me specs on what format you need exported, I'll happily look at it. If you want to look at it yourself, the source is available on the project page.

@Pordis I'm sure there are plenty of constraints and problems to overcome, but that's half the fun! I think with careful modification - and the appropriate skill - it should be possible to open up a lot more possibilities at the very least . My thinking at the moment would be to use Milkshape to modify the mesh and bones at the same time, which should prevent any problems (in theory at least).

The 3D side of things I can do, but anything in terms of programming is where I struggle so the source goes way over my head unfortunately. I'll have to get back to you about the best format for the values when I have a little more time... a simple text document might be enough and anything that keeps the values in the right order should do the job. However you did it before would be fine, I'm sure.

Dave

I have a save game without ME1 import (and everyone knows how the default choices suck), but I already finished the game. I'd like to know if I change the flag to Wrex alive, even if I've gone to Tuchanka, Wrex will be there, or will be still his brother, Wreav?
