Pordis' amazing update to Gibbed's Editor has seen the rebirth of my original ME Adept Shepard. The ability to simply unlock weapon proficiencies for Shepard means my Adept Shep can run around with both the Revenant and Widow on his back. Amazing! Thanks Pordis.
Now, to my question. Is there a similar means to unlock weapon group proficiencies for henchmen? I would actually use Jacob, for instance, if he were able to equip Assault Riles. As it is, there's little to recommend him over Zaeed, Garrus or Grunt. The same could be said for Jack. Crappy proficiencies limit their use.
I know I can simply 'overwrite' one of his existing weapons, but is it possible to unlock proficiency in an entire group for squaddies? Thanks in advance for your answers. My search attempts have yielded little aid.

I've never tried it that way...but Modio needs a career file to place the game save inside...so you need to open a career save in Modio before trying to add the game save. Try re-reading the OP again and let us know if you still have this problem when following those instructions.

I figure the broad-stroke weapon proficiencies aren't realistic, at this point. I'll just overlay the desired weapons on the Heavy Pistol. You get the last upgrade to the HP so early in the game (during Mordin's recruitment), that it's a breeze to modify once and be done.

I've never tried it that way...but Modio needs a career file to place the game save inside...so you need to open a career save in Modio before trying to add the game save. Try re-reading the OP again and let us know if you still have this problem when following those instructions.
yea i dont beleve your doing it the right way you have to open a carer in modio then add the modded save to it then reash/resing
also anny of you guys modded mass effect 1 save tried it the other night and it went well on my pc but as soon as i trie to load the save the entire thing crash the game the xbox i end up with a frozen screen and i can get no reaction from my xbox

Do I understand that you are trying to move me1 game saves to xbox? How exactly are you doing that? I was not aware of any tools to byte swap the files.c3pu2 wrote...

Honestly, I found the old xbox modding step by step instructions more useful than the newer one... I get confused reading that one all the time! lol
I'd say try reading the old one. I believe there is a link in the OP?

yeah, I wish it was possible, I wanted to try out stuff like liara's outfit on FemShep or Zaeed's on DudeShep etc...

Also, how do you go about putting the texture of the default shep onto your custom shep? His skin texture, I mean. Like, I put Ash's texture on my FemShep (Got instructions from someone's "project" on this site) but I haven't seen how to do it for Sheploo to CustomShep.
I thought it was the "vanilla hero" face thing from the OP google docs, but that's to replace your custom face with the sheploo face. =/
I just want the shiny texture not his features. lol

Yes. Gibbed does headmorphs. One change I made in the modded Gibbed was to save headmorphs in the same format as pc version, so they are interchangeable. The problem is that the xbox processor stores numbers differently than pc. So any numbers in the save must be converted to swap between the two. That was the change that XanderChaos made to Gibbed to get it to work with xbox. So moving a save between the 2 platforms would require *all* numbers in the save to be converted.c3pu2 wrote...

no no i was tired my sentence was weard i meant that the manipulation that i did with my pc went well and every thing seemed normal but wen i put it in my xbox the whole thing crash
there is no pc save involved
