How to mod ME2 for the Xbox 360 - updated 5/3/2011-

1) I hacked a career that I used an ME1 imported save for, and in ME1 my character was a Spacer/War Hero Paragon character. My ME2 career that I imported to plans to be a renegade character, and I hacked it to give him Earthborn/Ruthless, full renegade, etc. In the save editor, I also changed the info so that it said the ME1 import was Earthborn/Ruthless (however, I'm not sure that did anything). However, when I load the career on ME2, it still reads as Spacer/War Hero. Is there any way to change this (mostly for ME3 purposes)?
2) I checked the flags for Kasumi and Zaeed to be both "downloaded" and "revealed", and both of their dossiers appear in my squad readout on my personal computer. However, I did this AFTER the Illusive Man gave me my first batch of dossiers when you talk to him. I checked the locations where Zaeed and Kasumi are supposed to appear, but they aren't there. Will I be able to get them after I get my next batch of dossiers? Or should I go back to before you first talk to the Illusive Man and change it there?

1. I don't think you can change background and psych profile mid-game like that. In order for it to take effect you have to Import that save by setting the "End Game State" in the "Raw" tab to "LivedToFightAgain" and then starting a new game and importing that ME2 character.
2. You have to have actually downloaded Zaeed and Kasumi. They are both DLC and therefore not on the disc in order to just unlock them.

1. Thanks, worked like a charm.
2. Really? Damn, I was looking forward to using them for the first time.

Anything in the me1 plot table you need to import into a new game for it to take effect. Anything on the me2 plot table will take effect immediately.ZombieGambit wrote...

I don't know off-hand, and unfortunately my xbox broke so I'll try to take a look on the pc to see if I can replicate your problem.ZombieGamit wrote...
http://social.biowar...m/project/4871/ I found CombatSnicker's Shepard and decided to try out the face textures. It works well except that, as mentioned in the procedure, Sheploo's face textures stress color so when creating a new Shepard you have to choose a lighter skin tone to get the desired facial skin tone.
I do know that on some of the femShep hairstyles I've played around with I have noticed colour changes with the cyberbabe hairstyle and different underlying hair meshes (and possibly scalp mesh).
The only thing I can suggest for now is you might try lightening up the skin colour in Gibbed to see if you can get something reasonable. If I find something I'll let you know.

Thanks it turned out okay. His hands and arms still look really light (I attribute it to all the time wearing armor). Here's a blurry picture I took with my phone.

EDIT: Sucess! You can use another beard code in "HED_Brow" so this only works with either Sheploo's face textures (built in eyebrows) or possibly one of the beards from characters like Vido or Wilson because they have eyebrows attached (haven't tested yet).
Here's an example of Biker Chops + Chin Strap

Hi, was wondering if anyone could help me please. Everytime i edit a save file and place it back on to my xbox harddrive it shows up in the list, but then when I start the game the save and try to choose the file it is not there. Then when i check the file again on my HD it has vanished.
Cheers.

It sounds like your saves are being corrupted. In Modio make sure you "Resign and Rehash". Another thing that I found helpful is to never replace your old saves, just inject the new one(s) and load it manually.

Thanks for the reply but I downloaded the newest version of Modio once Game Tuts came back online and it seems to have done the trick, seems I only had the beta verion.
Cheers.

Good to hear you found your problem. Just FYI, two other things I have found to cause corrupted careers are firstly, if the career file gets too large (seems like > 1mb can cause problems). I have had this trouble both with and without modding saves, but not always consistently, so I just keep my career saves smaller than this and it seems to avoid problems. (And the individual game saves can be kept on pc to put back into a career file if needed.)Jymmeh wrote...

Secondly, if I delete a game save that was (I think) the last one used, the game seems to try to autoload it, and if it no longer exists, the game can hang or corrupt the career. When that happens I load a different career, fix the bad one and then switch back. That seems to fix things.

Got to the Raw tab of the editor. Open up the +Player under Squad. Then open up +Appearance. Then open up +Morph Head.
BIOG_HMM_HED_PROMorph.Sheppard.HMM_HED_PROSheppard_Face_Diff_Stack
BIOG_HMM_HED_PROMorph.Sheppard.HMM_HED_PROSheppard_Face_Norm_Stack
BIOG_HMM_HED_PROMorph.Sheppard.HMM_HED_PROSheppard_Scalp_Diff_Stack
BIOG_HMM_HED_PROMorph.Sheppard.HMM_HED_PROSheppard_Scalp_Norm_Stack
Then go to where it says Texture parameters and open that up. Copy and paste these codes into the value part of the first 4 members. And yes the first one which is 0 counts as one of the first 4.

Well aside from the hidden dev upgrades of Calcified Exoskeleton, and Quarian Shield Capacitor, and using Sheploo face textures, and 5+ bonus powers, I don't think so. I could be wrong though.Spartas Husky wrote...

Glad to be back. Had too much stuff to deal with. And lately been modding just fallout 3-new vegas
Anyways
So the new things are just to give u extra def and shielding basically?. Upgrades and the like?
Still nothing on adding powers, at least bonus ones to squadies? having skills have individual cooldowns instead of the universal cooldown?.... If so then I guess my modded sentinel is still the cream of the crop.
Bioware... I swear of god I hope u did ur stuff right for ME3. too much anticipation for a carbon copy of ME2.

I wouldn't worry too much about Bioware has never been content with giving us the same game twice. For better or for worse. DA2 comes to mind. And yeah thats basically it and using the Default Shepards face textures for custom Sheps. I'll see if I can get a screen shot up of my Shepard with those textures.
